わたしはこの詩人をこの詩集ではじめた知った。 当時はそれほど意識していなかったが、 あとで当時を振り返ると必死で頑張っていたんだな、 と思った。 元気なとき、こころの中がしあわせでいっぱいのとき、 「ああ、きれいなことばの宇宙だなあ」 と思えるだろう。 つらいとき、かなしいとき、くるしいとき、 「あっ、このうたをとなえて頑張ろう」

と思うだろう。 しかし、つらいもくるしいも振り返る余裕のないとき、 ただひたすら走っているとき、この詩集は命の水となる。

縁を得てこの詩集を手にするひとは、もしかしたら 人生のそういうステージにいるひとかもしれない。

ドイツ人の友人にプレゼントしてとても喜ばれました。
坂村さんの詩はもともと素晴らしいしですが、ドイツ語の訳がすごくいいのです。これ位高度な翻訳者はめったに見つからないでしょう。
