心が闇に侵食される瞬間を

鋭く切り出してきた著者の最新作は、


十数人以上を殺害し、死刑判決が下ったフジ子についての評伝―

という形式でつづられるサスペンス小説。


端的にいえば

『嫌われ松子』＋福田和子＋某ミステリー小説

といった趣の作品です☆、


小学校５年生のとき、家族の惨殺現場に出くわし

自らの手で同級生を殺めたフジコ


やがて成長し、

自分の欲望を満たすために、なんのためらいもなく

次々と人を殺していくフジコの姿に、

戦慄とともに、深い絶望を覚えます。


一方、脇を固める面々は

いかにも殺されそうな感じの小人物ぞろい

そのため、どんどん人が死ぬのに

心があまり痛まずに読むことができます。


そして、なんといっても一番の読みどころは衝撃のラスト。

実は、このラストの手法そのものは、

近年大いに話題となったミステリー小説でも取られており

冷静に考えれば、それほど驚かないはずなのですが、

著者の巧みな語りに誘われ、物語に没頭しているうちに

不本意にも、背筋がゾォ〜〜っとしてしまいました。


ノワールの魅力を存分に味わうことができる本作、

思いのほか読後感が軽やかなので、気軽に読んでいただければと思います☆☆

A Kid's Review
真梨幸子の著作には、流行歌やポップスがモチーフにされていることが多々あるのですが、今回は、セルジュ・ゲンスブールの「夢見るシャンソン人形」が重要なモチーフになっています。原題の直訳、「蝋人形、おがくず人形」というフレーズが、そのままこの作品のテーマ。みんなにちやほやされる美しい人形、でも、その中味はおがくず。
フジコもまた、その表面的な美しさや華やかさだけを追い求め、殺人を繰り返します。
なにが「幸福」なのかを知ろうとせず、ただ、ファッション誌やドラマの中にあるような幸せを追い求めます。
「夢見るシャンソン人形」の歌の中では、人形は本当の人間になって素敵な男の子と恋をすることを夢見ますが、フジコの夢はなんだったんだろうか？
あとがきを読み終えたとき、どうしようもない切なさに襲われました。
小学校時代の虐待、イジメ、セクハラ、クラス内の派閥など、かなりハードな描写が続きますが、それはフジコが心を失って「人形」となる過程でもあるのだと思いました。

フジコに対する虐待や、いじめ・暴力…、これでもか、これでもか…と続きます。
そのフジコが大人になり、大嫌いだった母親にどんどん似ていく…。
虐待された子供は、同じように虐待をしてしまうのか…。
このカルマから逃げ出すことが出来ないのか…。
思いっ切りダークに重く圧し掛かってきます。

ばれなきゃいいんだ…と殺人を繰り返し、自己を正当化し殺人鬼フジコになっていく。
もうどろどろ…、更にどんどんと暗闇に追い込まれていきます。

そして…
最後にどんでん返しがやってきます。
このミステリーがなくても、ホラーとして充分に成立する内容。
ミステリーのどんでん返しは見事なものなのですが、いじめと殺人があまりに重いので、あっ！という驚きが薄れてしまったのが残念。
とにかく重く、思いっきりダークな作品なので、気力が失せている時にはお勧めできません。
気力・体力のある時に、チャレンジしてください。
