今から40年ほど前、近所のバス停近くに貼られていて、強く印象に残った映画のポスターがある。当時の私はごく簡単な漢字しか読めなかったため、その絵柄だけが心に刻まれることとなる。しかし、本書のポスターギャラリーによって、その映画のタイトルが判明したのである。ちなみにそれは『徳川女刑罰史』。当時はポルノ映画のポスターが、子供の目に触れる所でも結構貼られていたのだが、『徳川女刑罰史』のポスターだけはなぜか鮮明に記憶に残ったのである。私の体質が日活よりも東映ポルノ指向だからかもしれない。

このポスターギャラリーを見ているだけで、どの作品も見たくなってくるが、本書発売当時はそれもままならなかったのである。私が成人した後は、ポルノといえば日活ばかりだったせいもあり、その欲求不満の度合いは高まるばかりだったのだが、最近はこれらの作品が立て続けに DVD 化され、うれしい限りである。DVD 購入の参考や、より深い作品堪能の一助として、本書は十分に役立つはずである。

60~70年代、東映では、健さんや鶴田浩二らスター映画の併映として、石井輝男、鈴木則文といった鬼才が、池玲子、杉本美樹ら、カラダをはった女優陣を使って、猥雑なパワーに満ちたエネルギッシュな映画を量産していました。当時、製作に関わった監督や役者のインタビューも読みごたえありますが、カラーページに当時のポスターが掲載され、その度胆を抜くパワフルさにはクラクラしてきます。この本を読んだら、「日本映画はツマラナイ」と思われている方も、考えが変わること請け合いです。

フ抜けたＴＶのＢＧＭに何かとありゃ『仁義』のテーマを安易に使ったり、『キル・ビル』や『シルミド』のレビューに何の照れも無くオサレに「東映ヤクザ映画」の影響なんて書く奴ゃ、この本を百回読んでやり直せ。

『仁義』とその流れの作品が、世界の映画の中でどんだけ異彩を放っているかがようく解るから。(注）現在のＯＶはどちらかというと『完結編』に繋がっている。詳しくは本書を読まれたし。
そして、『仁義』に魅せられ、それに惹かれることがどれだけのものを失うのかを考えろ。少なくとも「女」友達なんかいなくなるぞ。

「何か汚そう」だと、上等じゃ。そっちとは飲まん。
