中身を読んだら、面白かったので買って読んでいる。忙しい日常のなかで、読んで笑いが得られるのがいい。そして何より、超面白い。わたしは思わず噴出してしまうほど。文章表現も上手で、その状況がほんとうによく伝わる。だから面白い。面白いから、あっという間に読んでしまう。第二巻も期待する。

放送作家であり、脚本家、映画監督でもある大宮エリーさんのエッセイです。ＴＶや新聞で取り上げられていたので、読ませて頂きましたが、「生きるコント」のタイトル通り、エリーさんのライフスタイルが語られる（爆笑）エッセイでした。エリーさんのさりげない文章に、”これでもか”とつぎ込まれた笑いに、いつのまにか引き込まれ、つい吹き出してしまいます。

エリーさんらしさがわかるのは、1話目の「ビキニ」。東大の薬学部在学中に、国家試験をサボりたくてリオのカーニバルへ行き、リオの街を一人、ビキニで駆け抜ける事になる話。なんだか、本の1話目から”見てはいけないもの”を見てしまったような感じにとらわれ、９話目-バレンタイン傷、18話-島よ、23話-ゴッドおとん、24話-カルフォルニアデイズ、33話-名マネージャー、45話-ステーキ四時など、タイトルだけでは全く想像できない、中身の濃いエッセイに仕上がっています。

でも、「面白い」だけではなくて、エリーさんのおかんやおとん、周りの人たちの雰囲気まで伝わって、この本を読み終える頃には、エリーさんの性格や過去の出来事まで知っている”大宮エリーという幼なじみ（失礼！）”と一緒に過ごしている気持ちになれ、なんだかホッとします。ここまで自分の事をさらけ出さなくても、と思うかも知れませんが、メール交換だけの友達よりも、「生きるコント」はきっとあなたに”元気”をくれる一冊になるでしょう。

　最近、よくテレビ等でもお見かけするエリーさん。
すごく新しい凄い才能という感じで取り上げられているが、テレビ等でも特に
面白いなーこの人はと思ったことがない。
　この本も同様である。よくある程度のドタバタエッセイである。期待ありきでこれを
手にした人はおそらく肩すかしをくらうことになる。あまり読書経験のない中学生程度なら
ゲラゲラ笑うかもしれない。
