JFK暗殺研究もこれで決着でしょうか。要約を載せます。

「JFKはLBJが殺した。LBJはJFKの前にも数々の殺人を顧問弁護士エドワード・クラークと共に犯してきた。しかしクラークはテキサス州の裁判の結果を操る絶大な権力を持っていたため、もみ消し工作が成功してきた。しかし，副大統領になってから犯した殺人を、司法長官ロバート・ケネディが追い詰めたため、失脚寸前に追い込まれた。追い込まれたLBJは、失脚を免れるために、JFK暗殺を決意した。

マクレランは，1960年代からクラークの部下として働いた。その中で、上司のクラークが，マーチソン、H.L.ハントらビッグオイルから巨額の報酬を得る交渉に、マクレランは立ち会った。その際、クラークはこう言った。『彼らには払う義務がある。私がダラスでしてやった事を知っているからだ。』

その後マクレランは、徐々にクラークと対立するようになった。やがてクラークのチームで得た、無数のインサイダー情報から、LBJがJFKを殺した事をはっきり理解するようになり、その告白本を出版した。」

ジョンソンの盟友にして右腕であるエドワード・クラークの弁護士事務所に勤めてい
た著者が書いた本。
前半部分はジョンソン伝といってもいい内容で、邦訳されていないカロやダレクの
著名なジョンソン伝を踏まえて書いているので、これだけでも前半部分は読む価値
があると思う。アメリカの政治制度の陰に隠れた部分もよくわかると思う。
一方後半はケネディ暗殺の経緯について書かれてこの本のメイン。ケチをつけると
したら"ファクション形式"として小説風に書かれている点が自分的にはちょっ
と・・・かなぁというところぐらい。何故こういう書き方をしたのかなぁと残念。
徹底的に事実で押していってほしかった。
