いや、これが、なんとも壮大で。
最初の方の、気前のいい紳士が、家と仕事をポンと与えてくれるのに
「はぁ？」と思うんだけど、下巻の最初の方に、「あれは・・・もしかして」と思う。

内容は、あらためて考えると昼メロみたいで、ご都合主義も否めないんだけど
読んでるときは、そんな事微塵も感じさせない。

加椰の行く末や、遠松少年のそれから、
気になって仕方ない。


だから、加椰の章が終わって、遠松の章になるとがっかりするし
なのに、遠松の章を少し読み進めるとハマってしまい、加椰の章に入るとがっかりする
これの繰り返し。

ことに遠松少年の、父とのロードは面白くて
大阪のキャバレーのホステス、岡山のブルジョ未亡人、門司の仕立て屋の女と
女を渡り歩くけど、それぞれの女が、「実に女」で、さすがのひと言。

遠松の父が、ケッヘルの番号に、すべての謎を解明する鍵があるって
旅に使う列車や、バスの番号に、いちいち意味づけするんだけど

中山さんが、もともとクラッシクや、モーツァルトが好きじゃなかったとしたら
ものすごい勉強量だなって感心します。

あー小説、読んだー！！ってカンジ。

中山可穂作品全部読みましたが、意外でした。確かに新境地かも。。情報量は凄い。どれだけ調べて努力して書かれたかを思うと凄いなぁと思うが、上下2冊の大作にする必要があったのか、詰め込みすぎではないのか、、主人公の恋におちる様子も腑に落ちない。長いけど、中山可穂さん独特の重みを感じられなかった。

著者が「もう一つの処女小説」と語っているが、
それにひけをとらぬ出来ばえ。

あらすじだけ見ると、男女の恋愛小説？と思ったのだが、
そんな事はなく、やはり中山氏特有の恋愛観は健在で、
安心。そして、単なる恋愛小説など、そんな生ぬるい
言葉ではすまない作品だと、中盤から私は理解した。
ここだけの話、本の帯に載っているあらすじだけでは括れない話です。
単なる復讐劇かと思うと、ちょっと違う。


愛した女性の凄まじい意嫉妬故に逃げた女。

モーツァルトに縛られて、周りの大人に翻弄されて育った
男。その成長過程のくだりでは、淡々と事実が綴られているが、
それが現実に起こっていたら、何と凄まじい偏狭した愛に
育まれたのか…。
それを知った時、冷たい汗が流れるような気がした。

今は下巻を読み途中。徹夜してでも読みたい本に出会ったのは
久しぶりです！
