第一話「電波塔」で、語り手である〈僕〉の事情とおおよそのストーリーの行く末は読めた、と思ったのだが甘かった(笑)　「夢幻紳士」は実に二十年にわたり描きつづけられているシリーズだが、今までの夢幻魔実也がスチャラカか冷血漢か女たらしかのどれかだったのに対し今回はそのどれでもなかったので驚いた。各エピソードでの、彼のパトロンである〈僕〉に仇なす者たちへの「お仕置き」はどれもパターン通りで別段目新しいアイディアはないのだが、結末がこのシリーズにはめずらしく後味さわやかだったのでこの評価。ここまでくればもう職人芸ですね。

素晴らしいです。とても奥の深い話。
人間、死霊、色々とりまぜて救済してきた魔実也様、あれだけ沢山善いことを
しておいて危険な色男の香りを放ち続けるところがまた堪らない魅力だと
思うのですが、その基本姿勢（？）は今回も変わりません。カッコよすぎ…。

最初は人間離れした不気味な顔つきで共感し難い感じだった「僕」が、
徐々に柔らかく明るい表情を見せるようになってゆく様子には救われます。
「僕」はボロボロに傷つき病んだ自分を恋の力で治して蘇ったともいえるし、
悪夢のような記憶さえものちには克服して楽しめるまでになったかと思うと、
その強さにも感動します。
そして何といっても、幾重にも病んだ「僕」に対する魔実也様の
見事なアプローチは最高。痺れます。
切なくも幸福なカタルシスに包まれる終盤には思わず泣きました。

これまで、魔実也様はどんなに憧れても所詮手の届かぬ人、
遠い空の彼方を見つめて思い馳せることしか出来ない人でした。
しかしこの作品で、彼はスーッと私の傍らに降りて来てくれたのです。
自分の中にも持てる、夢幻魔実也は心の中に居るんだ、と思いました。
ファンの皆様にはそう実感できると思います。
まさに守護天使、彼は遍在している。彼を必要とする者の数だけ居て、
それぞれの心の中で危難を救ってくれるのでしょう。
触れることは出来なくても、最高の恋人です。

メディウムで連載やってた頃からだから、もう20年ぐらい前になる。
その頃から「夢幻紳士」シリーズは好きだった。
もう出ないのかと思っていたが、たまたま書店で見つけて速攻で購入した。
短編集かと思いきや全編で一本のストーリーになっており、「おお、そうだったのか」と読者を頷かせる手法はさすがである。
主人公の"僕"に対する魔実也クンの態度に、最初は宗旨替えしたのかと思うほど驚いたが、中盤辺りで理由を知って納得。
守護天使、それもダーティーな雰囲気をまとっていると言う、女性が抱く「理想の男性像」なるもののひとつがここにあり、女性読者たる私としてはとても満足出来る作品だった。
しかし値段が高過ぎ。出来れば1,000円以内に収めて欲しかった。
よって★四つにさせて頂いた。
