山口彰さんとは六本木ヒルズのイラストや、三越のＣＭのイラストなどを描かれていらっしゃる方です。

とにかくうまい！
魅力的な構図に色彩、見事なデッサン力で描き出される作品には感嘆とため息が出るばかりです。

大変細かく緻密なイラストですので、ルーペ付きです！

買って損はありませんでした。

随分昔、卒業製作を見たときから惚れ込んでます。グループ展でのこたつ派でのＤＭが煮詰まってしょっぱくなるほどに眺めまわし今でも眺めつつもやっとこさでた作品集！！そりゃあ、買うしかないでしょ。今は塩っぱくなる程に作品集を眺めております！。かれの作品は精密さとユーモアがぎゅっとつまっていてかたくるしくないところが素晴らしい。もちろん技術も素晴らしい！人生にはユーモアが必要ですよ。迷ってる方買いですよ。ホント！
実物見る機会がある方はぜひみてみてみて結構大きいものが多いですよ。

評論家や愛好家の出した解説本などなんかではなく、本人が出した作品集だというところが良い。
あーだこーだやかましい批評・解説は一切無く、本人のコメントにも疎ましい言い訳など全く無い。どう解釈するかは完全に読者の目に委ねられており、自由に見て感じて楽しめる。

以下は本人のコメント

朝顔
『絵の先生から頂いた朝顔を描きました。世話になった方に差上げようとしたら、女房に止められ売りに回されました。

大阪市電百珍図
『此れを描くために大阪には相当詳しくなりました。大いばりで「何でも聞いて」と女房に云うに、「素敵なバーは何処？」と聞かれ絶句しました。女なんて。』

あぁ、それにしても本物が見れないことが口惜しい。この本だって小さい本じゃないけれど、ルーペだって付いているけれど、山口晃の細かい、それなのにエレファントクラスの作品をこのサイズの本で見ようだなんて、限界が・・・。

文具店でちゃんとした虫眼鏡を買えば、もっと細部まで見れるんだろうか。

待ってました！といった感じです。
とてもディティールに目を凝らしたくなる作品が勢ぞろい。
じっくり見て、見つけて、面白い。
