　真っ当な意見だと思います。
精神論で乗り越えようとするエコ、大病院の存在意義、教育の目標、郵政のあり方、官僚の役割と選挙制度。
以上の五つ（に限りませんが）について、データに基づかず薄っぺらいコメントを流すテレビや新聞。
不勉強で予断と偏見に満ちたマスコミ関係者。
政治は選挙で変える事が出来ますが、情報を入手すべき媒体はどうやって選べばいいのでしょうか？
　昔、日経ビジネスを定期購読していましたが、自分のいる業界の問題点に関する特集記事を読んだ時、
紙面の都合があるにせよ深く調査したとは思えない内容で落胆し、それ以降同誌を読むのは止めました。
　また、以前媒体にニュースリリースして職場の取材を受けたときも、リリース内容について無知な記者が
取材にやってきてがっくりしたこともあります。
マスコミを「教育」しないと日本は良くならないのかしら、とも思えてきます。
　どんな政策も感情論ではなく、データに基づいて考えるべき、と改めて考えさせてくれる一冊でした。
　ただ、最後の国会議員数削減は、考え方は賛成ですが論理の持って行き方が甘い気がしましたが、
それはそれで、読者が考えればいい事でしょう。

5.0 out of 5 stars 温暖化抑制には原子力発電しかない？, 2009/11/22
一キロワット発電するには、石油火力で742グラム、石炭火力で975グラムの二酸化炭素が発生する。
それに対し、原子力ならわずか11グラムにすぎない。
だから京都議定書の目標を日本が達成するには、原発の発電割合を５０％に上げるだけで済むという事実と、二酸化炭素の発生を抑制するために冷房の温度を２８度に設定しても、今のままではその効果はほとんどないという事実をマスコミは全く報道しようとしない。
民主党やメディアが伝える政策が、いかにデタラメかということがよくわかる良書である。

「環境・エネルギー」、「医療」、「教育」、「郵政改革」、「官僚叩き」といった5つのテーマについて、「現状分析」と「提言」を示しています。
「現状分析」もなかなかのものですが、「提言」が優れているのが本書の特長です。証券・金融の世界で生きてきた著者は「大きな現実を動かす際に有効なのは(中略)ビジネスの論理である」として、問題点を解決する仕組みのなかにうまくインセンティブを組み込んだ「提言」を示しています。
小泉改革についても、○か×かで論じる傾向が多い中、良かった点と不足していた点を説得力を持って分析しています。
