もう10回とは言わない程読み返した本の中の一冊です。
表紙からすると”普通のSFかな？”と思いますが
少しずつ年齢が上がり人生観が変わっていく段階で
読み返す度に新鮮な発見がある為手放すことができません。
今後もずっと傍らに置いておく予定です。

この作品を読んで感じたことはタイトルにもあるように「今を大事にする」
ということです。
と同時に人間の心理というものが見事に描かれているようにも感じました。
初め読んでいたときは死んで生き返るなんて、どこにでもある話だな、と
思いましたが読んでいくうちに意外なストーリー展開に驚き、
どんどん話の中に吸い込まれていくようでした。

必見です！！
読んでない方は是非読んでみて下さい。
この著者は何故か二作しか書いておらず、
それはこの「リプレイ」と「ディープ・ブルー」です。
「リプレイ」にとても感銘を受けたので是非「ディープ・ブルー」も
読もうと思い本屋に予約したら何ともう絶版らしいです・・・。
手に入らなくて読むことが出来ません・・・。

古本屡?で一生懸命探してもありませんし。
どこにあるのでしょうね

何度人生を構築しても、また途中からやり直し。いくら素晴らしい人生を送っても、いずれご破算・リプレイ。こうなるともはや拷問です。生きることの意味そのものがだんだん分からなくなっていく繰り返し地獄。しゃれにならないぐらい恐ろしい世界です。
その一方で、人生を何度もやり直せるとして、じゃあ自分は世界に対してどれだけの影響を与えうるでしょう？自分の可能性を最大限に世界に開いたとして、結局どれほどの存在になりうるでしょう？このことを真っ正面から見つめるのも、これまたしゃれにならないぐらい恐ろしいことです。

このなんとも不条理な世界に対して、なんとかして自らの存在の意義を探ろうとする主人公。そしてその繰り返しの中から見えてくる新しい人生哲学。
非常に深い作品です。抜群に面白いSF小説であると同時に、抜群に意味深い文学作品です。これだけ見事に構築された世界を持つ作品には久しぶりに出会いました。
