悲しい、あまりに悲しい。
どん底だ。救い、がないのだ。
この話には、はじめから、終わりまで、まったく、救いがないのである。
最後の最後に、そうだったのか、っていう終わり、展開。
途中も、あ、そうなの、とか、そうだよね、っていうトリッキーな展開のよくあるパターンといえばそうだ。
この人（作者）は、実にそれを上手くやってのけている。
淡々とすすむのにもかかわらず、ずっとひきこまれている自分がいるから、本当に、実に巧いといえる。
だけれど、だ。あまりに、悲しいのだ。
母親は読むべからず、人の親は読むべからず。
だから、「告白」を貸してくれた友人には貸せないでいるのだ。

「奇妙な世界」を眺めるようなつもりで読み出し、
いつしかページは中盤へ。すっかり世界に取り
込まれている自分がいました。「いやー、とん
でもない処に連れてこられたなー」と思って、
恨めしく巻頭に戻ると、ありました、そこら
じゅうに「そっちに行くと危険」と告げてい
る道しるべが。
登場人物が皆それぞれ抱える「事情」がせつなくて
悲しいです。

この本は久々に読みながら突っ込みを入れたくなる、と言うか、
疑問点が多かったです。
子を持つ親であれば、4年生の男の子がどのくらいのレベルか分かっているので、
まずないな、ということから色々と見えてしまって、
ストーリーを楽しむことはできませんでした。
ただ、謎解きという点では巧みで、面白かったです。

ジャンルがあるとすれば、”ファンタジーホラー”ですね。
初めて触れたジャンルだと思って読むと、
もう少し面白く感じるかも知れません。
新しいことには違いないので、
それだけで興味を持っていただけると思います。

折しも先日逮捕された市橋達也容疑者が携帯していた本だとか。
事件と本との関連性を取り沙汰されていましたが、
単純に娯楽作品として読んだのではないでしょうか。
タイトルが素敵で、インパクトがありますから。
私はタイトルを見ただけで、読んでみたい!と思いました。
