LAPITAに連載中から楽しく読ませていただいていた作品です。
こうやってまとまると本当に生き方について語られているような気がします。
「直すのを前提に服をこしらえる」
長年にわたっての使用に耐える服だからこそ言える言葉です。
ビスポークの服は持っていませんが、この本を読むとほしくなります。

手軽に、便利にがキーワードになっている昨今ですが、本物のすばらしさをこの本が教えてくれました。
「個性を活かすこと」は大切ですが、基本を知らない個性は成り立たないのではないでしょうか？
それを知ってこその本当のお洒落だと実感しました。
正に洋服のバイブルです。

昨今、男性の衣服に関する本は少なくないが、最もお薦めの一冊。筆者は「金洋服店」の店主で、現役のベテラン・テーラー。語り口は朴訥としたもので、洒落た内容ではないが、現場での深い経験と洞察に基づいたファッション理論の数々には、完全に納得させられる。

よくわからないジャーナリストやコラムニストが書いたような男性ファッション本に較べると、一言一言の重みが全く違うのだ。やや高価ではあるが、写真やイラストも豊富で、男性衣類に興味のある方は必携といえるだろう。
