女性誌BAILAでの連載「愛のMOU-SOU」をベースにして、美紀さん本人によるイラスト、写真や北米の聖地セドナへの旅行記を加えたエッセイ集になっています。

公式サイトの日記などから、相当にユニークな人柄であることがわかるのですが、それとあまり変わらないノリで執筆されているため、腹をかかえ笑いながら読みました。でも時には、30歳になった大人の女性ならではの考え方などを知ることもできる、「女優　水野美紀」ではなく等身大（本人は大嫌いな言葉）の「水野美紀」に触れられる１冊になっていると思います。

しかし、ドラマ・映画の中にいる彼女のイメージを大事にされたい方は、公式サイトを一度見てから考えてみてください。あまりのギャップに言葉を失うことになるかもしれませんので。

彼女のファンには間違いなくオススメです！でも、興味がある程度の方には受け入れられないかもしれません。素の美紀さんまで愛せる方に、ぜひ読んでもらいたい１冊です。

例の件でのいなせな対応に、ますます惚れちゃう水野美紀さんの少し前に出たエッセイ『DROP BOX』。本人も「くだらない事を、真剣に考えてる時、人は輝いてる。」と巻頭で書いてるとおり、きっかけはくだらない発想だが、最終的にはかなり人間の本質をついていたり、なんだか哲学的な領域までの結論に達している話は、とにかくおもしろく、女優といよりは、人間=水野美紀の魅力を、ぐいぐい醸し出している良質なエッセイだった。後半のセドナの旅日記も読みごたえのあるものだった。あと本人による写真やイラストもきれいで、楽しい。それと奥付ページにあるフィギュアのジオラマ風写真がとてもイイが、このことについては何処にも記載がなく、気になってしょうがない。

こういう多岐にわたる感受性、好奇心、表現欲がある人だから、独立しちゃうんだろうなあ。テレビへの露出が減って寂しいけど、頑張って欲しい。
オフィシャルサイトの日記も面白いです。
