「う~ん、確かに、、。」
一話毎にリアリティをもって、子どもだったあの時が蘇ってくる逸品。
おおいに笑えます。
時代を異にする我が家の小学生にもどういうわけか大ウケ、、。
（こんな経験なぞ、平成の彼等にはないだろうに。）
いくつもの謎をともなう子ども心、その不可思議さや暖かさがいたるところにちりばめられている。

昭和の小学生だった方々は読後、若返るのではないでしょうか。
そんな錯覚を覚えるのもいいかも。

本書を読むと、少年のオキテやギモンに誰しも共感を覚えるはずである。ちょっとだけ少年に戻ったような気がして、無邪気にはしゃぎ回っている自分を思い出さずにはいられない。
少年だった私は、時の流れに逆らうことなく23歳の青年になった。あの頃のオキテに従うことはなくなり、あの日抱いたギモンはある程度解決してしまった。しかし、何だかその分つまらない大人になったような気がするのも事実である。

　大人になって考えてみると、どうして「あの頃」は
あんなバカなことを考えていたのか、とよく思いませんか？
　原田さんが、思い出させてくれます。子供の頃のあの感覚。
小学校で「大」をするのがとても恥かしかったあの頃
夏の草原の「あの匂い」
など、懐かしさと同時に読み終わった瞬間若々しくなるような
そんな１冊。
