店頭で題名が気になり手に取ってみました。
ざっと読みましたが、戦場という割には読み手のこちらまでが
チリチリとしてしまいそうな緊迫感はありませんでした。
あの場を『戦場』というのなら、もっと奥深い心理描写や駆け引きなどで鬼気迫るものじゃないと…。
主人公の心理の移り変わりが全体を通してかなり少ないのもそう思わせる原因のひとつかも知れません。

それでも『戦場』を突破した後の登場人物それぞれの行く末が知りたくて
とにかく最後まで目を通してみましたが、
変な『因果応報』感が見え見えで物語の流れとは裏腹に
最後には寂しさと空しさが入り交じったような感覚を覚えてしまいました。
個人的には最終的に安心して本を閉じるが出来るような、そんな結末の方が良かったように思います。

『因果応報』としたい気持ちも分からなくはないですし、
全員のハッピーエンドで終わる『大団円』を望んでいたわけでもないですが、
変な隙間風が残るような結末もどうかと思ってしまった1冊でした。

上巻１冊でじゅうぶん、まとまりそうな内容なのに、ダラダラと永遠引っ張る引っ張るって感じで、最後いい加減飽きました。
なんとか、劇的・感動的に無理矢理持って行った感があり、かなり内容そのものにも無理があるのに、余計滑稽になってしまったみたいです。昔の書籍になる前の終わり方のほうが、まだマシだったかもしれません。
これは小説とは言い難いです。台本を読んでいると思えば納得できますが、リアリティに欠ける、ある意味読者を見下しているように感じられました。
確か、最初は実話と豪語してましたよね？お金じゃない、こういう体験をみんなに知って欲しかったから書いている、と言っていた作者の初心は、何処へ？

主人公は
子供が２人いるのだから、３０歳前後の女性なんですよね？
この言葉使いや、態度は、
浮気されたにしても、それが夫に対するものとして、
普通のことなんでしょうか？

私には理解できないし、共感も出来ませんでした。
