飯田 譲治
1959年、長野県生まれ。’86年に製作されたビデオ作品『キクロプス』で監督デビュー。’92年からフジテレビで放送されたドラマ『NIGHT HEAD』では原作・脚本・演出を手がける。脚本を手がけた主な作品に『沙粧妙子 最後の事件』(’95年)『ギフト』(’97年)が、監督を務めた映画に『らせん』(’98年)『アナザヘヴン』(2000年)『ドラゴンヘッド』(’03年)などがある

梓 河人
1960年、愛知県生まれ。短編「その愛は石より重いか」でデビュー(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

　日本人の書いた小説を避けていた時期がある。｢寝る間も惜しんで先を読みたい｣とか、ページが僅かになって｢もう終ってしまうのか｣と感じる作品が見つけられなかったからで、新たに発掘しようという気も起こらなかった。ところが、転勤で通勤時間が長くなったことを継起として、人の薦めや書評欄を頼りに初めての作家の作品に接する機会が増えた。そこで知り合ったのが、垣根涼介とか本書の飯田譲治である。

　歳のせいで涙もろくなったのは困りものだが｢ユーモア｣へのハードルは高く、ましてや人前で声を出して笑うなどということは許されない。ところが、この『アナン、』にはやられてしまった。過去には『プリズンホテル』(浅田次郎)でしか経験のない失態である。そして驚くことに、本書はコメディではなくファンタジーなのだ。｢少年の成長記｣というと、代表作は『スタンド・バイ・ミー』(キング)であろうが、その他にも『少年時代』(マキャモン)や『ボトムズ』(ランズデール)など海外には秀作が目白押しだ。

　『アナン、』の魅力は、登場人物の作りこみの巧みさと日本人らしくない(？)プロットの雄大さだが、それらがセンスの良いユーモアに包まれて小気味のよいテンポで突き進む、そのドライヴ感は海外作品に引けを取らない。多少話ができすぎで｢渡りに船！｣の調子のよさも無いではないが、全ては主人公アナンが引き起こす奇跡の一部と考えれば納得か･･･。

　『少年時代』の前書きでマキャモンは次のように語っている。『わたしたちはいろんな重荷を背負わされる。いい荷もあれば、さほどよくない荷もある』　いじめや自殺のニュースがあとを絶たないきびしいご時世だが、悩める子供たちには、これら洋の東西の秀作を読んで｢魔法｣を信じ｢夢｣を語ってほしい、と心から願うばかりである。

龍の表紙に惹かれて購入しました。
上下巻一気読みしました

大好きな龍・タイル・ラピスラズリ・クリスタルと、どんどん色彩が拡がっていく。
そして、キラキラ光る☆
生きること、守ること、聞くこと、そして死。
全てが折り込まれていました。

今の自分に大切なものが全てありました。

とにかく面白くて、時間の経つのが分からなかった。
あまり夢中で読んでいて、周りの音が聞こえなかった。

それほど惹きつけられる楽しさでした。
いろいろ出て来過ぎ？の感はあるけど、それでも
面白くて、ぐっと来て、ほろりとして

ファンタジーといえばそうだけど、
ちゃんとした内容のある、いい本だと思ってます。

またこんな時間を忘れさせてくれるほどの本を
探しているところですけど、
そう簡単にあるものじゃない、こんな楽しい本は。
