凄い基礎的な部分から載っているから非常に入門書として
クオリティが高いと感じてます。
また、本のサイズがコンパクトなので通勤時間に活用でき
るのが嬉しい。
値段もお手頃だし私的には満足度がかなり高い一冊です！

サンプルを作りながら、例文をみて学習していく方式の入門書。
CD-ROMもついていて買ったその日から学習できます。
初心者向けではありますが、たとえばプログラムの継承とかの説明が抽象的な印象をうけます。このあたりはプログラムのまったくの初心者と、なんかしら知識のあるひととで印象は変わると思いますが。

ただ、サンプルがついてますんで、説明が弱くてもなんとなく感覚としてわかりますが。
JAVAの入門書は他にもたくさんあるので、そのひとつとしてはいいと思います。価格も他の入門書より若干お求め安いですし。

内容とは関係ないですが、かなり分厚い本なのでブルーバックスサイズでは開きながらPCを見て練習っていうのがやりにくいです。

著者は、訳書や著作もあり、いろいろなことをご存じのようです。
その割に、大事だと思うことが伝わってきません。

プログラムは設計なので、どう試験するかを含めてプログラムを書きます。
早い話、試験プログラムの対になっていて役立つものです。
一方しかないので、利点が生きていないのかもしれません。

参考文献がないのも不満です。
本当に参考にすべき書籍を訳されているのだから、宣伝すべきだと思います。
