届いたその日にちょっとだけ読んで後はまた暇な時に・・・と思っていたら
一気に最後まで読んでました。
私はテンプターズの頃からテレビや映画での活躍とずっとファンでした。
特に十代終わりから二十代初めに出会ったドラマや映画や歌は
鮮烈な印象として私の脳に刻み込まれ今でも忘れられません。
しかしそれはブラウン管やスクリーン越しに見ている世界であって
人間・萩原健一という裏側は当然の事ながら知らない訳です。
この本はそういう内面的なものやいろんな製作現場の人間関係や裏話や
幼少時代の頃、出生の秘密やプライベートの事も詳しく書かれていて
大変興味深く引き込まれました。
また彼の仕事に対するプロフェッショナルな考え方が随所に出てきます。
あまりに熱心な為に時として周囲と摩擦を起こすのですが
個人的には早く復帰して頂きたい貴重な俳優さんだと思います。
今の芸能界にこれだけの熱意を持っている人が一体何人いるんだろうと
考えさせられる本です。
自ら描かれた表紙の絵も印象深いですね。
彼にとっては「描いた」ではなく「出た」と表現するのでしょう。
この辺の話も載っています。
読み終えた後、この本に出てくる数々の名作をもう一度見直したくなった。
テレビのワイドショーでは女性遍歴の事がクローズアップされていたがそればかりではなく
演技や演出のモチーフやヒントになった元ネタとか周囲の人の所作など
創作秘話的側面もかなりあり面白いです。

トラブルタレントの復帰を狙った暴露本だったらいやだなと思いつつ手に取り、夜の更けるのも忘れて読み終えた。
今はもう失われたあの粗雑で熱く乱暴ないびつな時代。それがよみがえってくる。
ドラマも映画も、不便でそれだけに人の手によって作られたぬくもりを内包していた時代に生きたアウトロー。その情熱がつたないように見せかけた文章から十分伝わってくる。
ショーケンと仕事をしたり共にいた人たちは彼に大いに傷つけられたり、理解の外にある言動に泣かされたりしたこともあったかもしれない。
前略おふくろ様とマカロニ刑事、そして傷だらけの天使がミックスした文章には一種の迫力がある。
漢字も読めないと言われた彼がこれほど映画にのめりこみ、本を読み、芝居に徹し続けたと知ってそれだけでも、読んだかいがあった。
孤独な魂と、人を恋うる魂が同居しているようで、この世を生きるのは生きづらい人なのだろう。
ショーケンは烈火なのかそれとも冷徹なのか、狂気なのか非凡なのか…。彼は面白い。
こんな人間が、今、いない。

とにかくすごぶる面白い本である。ＧＳ全盛期のスーパー・アイドルから俳優に転身し、３０年以上に渡って芸能界を疾走した大スターの、女、クスリ、酒、映画、音楽、人生。みゆき族として銀座を徘徊していた１０代の不良少年期、最初は乗り気でなかったテンプターズ時代、映画監督に憧れた日々、実は、やめたくて仕方がなかった自身の転機作「太陽にほえろ」、今や伝説化した「傷だらけの天使」や「前略、おふくろ様」、黒澤明と勝新太郎の確執を身近で見ていた「影武者」、大麻取締法違反で拘留されていた拘置所での生活ぶりに、私の知人のＴＶ局員を始め、業界人泣かせの蛮行の数々。話半分としても、実に面白い。不謹慎ながら、これがつまらない訳ないじゃないか。ショーケンがデモに参加して機動隊に追われたなんて逸話、可笑しすぎるぞ。
ジュリー、裕次郎、ひばり、優作に井上尭之、神代辰巳、いしだあゆみに倍賞美津子、そして黒澤明と言った稀代のスーパー・スターや伴侶、芸術家たちとの関係を赤裸々に語る一方で、映画、ＴＶ、ロックへのひたむきで真剣そのものの対応にはやはり凄みを感じさせる。
ゴシップ的要素も盛りだくさんだが、ショーケンファンのみならず、４０才以上の日本映画＆ＴＶドラマがお好きな方にも楽しめる。
