　「私立霧舎学園ミステリ白書」シリーズの第一作。
　袋とじで発売という懐かしい本。バリンジャーを意識しているのか？
　本格ミステリとラブコメをミックスするという暴挙に出た一冊。本格ミステリ部分はまあまあ良く出来ている。子どもだましでないトリックで、著者の誠実さが感じられた。
　しかし、ラブコメ部分はいまいち。なんだか、つくりものめいていて楽しめなかった。お約束を守ろうとして堅くなり過ぎているというか。
　人気（？）なのか、何冊も書き継がれているシリーズだが、次作に手を出すのは躊躇する。

私はこの話、好きになれません。
まず、主人公の女の子にひどいことをさせすぎです。もっとスレた子ならともかく。
次に、犯人の犯行理由。最初っからあんな重い理由持ってこないでくれって思います。気持ち悪くなって、続き買う気がしなくなりました。

新作を手に取る度に、いつも良い意味での驚きをプレゼントしてくれる霧舎巧さんですが、今回も今まで同様新しいオモチャに一喜一憂させて貰いました。まず、作者本人の言う通り、今回の作品は「いかにミステリー漫画で育った世代に本格（だけに限りませんが・・）推理小説へ触れてもらうか」という試みのもと、読み易い文章、感情移入しやすい登場人物（これは、デビュー作「ドッペルゲンガー宮」から一貫した姿勢ではありますが）、等などの多くの魅力に満ちた作品であると思います。確かに、新本格ブームといわれる時代より遥か昔からの探偵小説ファンや本格ファンには物足りない部分もあるのかも知れませんが、推理小説の１ファンとして、（推理小説にあまり触れていない）友人に安心して薦められるシリーズの誕生は心から嬉しく思います。ちなみに、評価の星３つは、内容の出来不出来というよりも、今後のシリーズの展開に期待して付けたつもりです。２作目、３作目がもっと良かったら、星７つとか付けられないですもんね。（笑）
