　第1巻と同様、1話完結形式で物語は進んでいく。「荊姫」「月下美人」「恋人たち」「等価の書」「胎児の書」が"ザ・スニーカー"掲載分で、「必勝法」「ラジエルの書架」が書き下ろし。幻書が人を歪めるのか、人が幻書を歪めるのか、様々なパターンで幻書と人のストーリーが展開されています。
　個人的意見としては、ダリアンの言動をヒューイが上手くあしらえる様になったため、お話のテンポが良くなっている気がする。また、幻書にまつわるシリアス系の話と、カミラの登場するほんわか系の話がバランス良く配置されているので、その落差によってダリアンの心情が伝わってくる。ヒューイに関するストーリーや、幻書の成り立ちや書架の秘密なども織り込まれて、物語が作り込まれてきたと思う。Extra Episodeで語られる物語と、ヒューイ達の物語が、これからリンクすることがあるのかないのか。まだまだ世界は広がりを見せそうです。

1巻のレビューでダリアンが薔薇乙女の第3ドールにしか見えないと書きましたが、今回はもはや作為を感じました。
じょうろ持っちゃったよこの子ww
はい、翠星……ゲフンゲフン!失礼。

今回もネタが尽きずに、斬新はお話ばかりでした。
三雲先生はユルイとか書いてますが、結構ハードなシーンもあります。
下手すれば二人とも1、2巻だけで10回くらい死んでますよね!?
まぁ、感想を言えば、面白いです。

　今回も前巻と同じく大半がザ・スニーカーでの連載で、1話完結形式で物語が収録されています。
　また例によってダリアンのヒューイに対する罵詈雑言ぶりはほとんど日常会話の感覚ですし、何をさておいても本を最優先する所も相変わらずです。けれど揚げパンを始め甘い物に目がない所はこれまた前巻と同じく読んでいて微笑ましいですし、古いオークションの出品目録に載っているアンティークのクマのぬいぐるみに興味を持ったりする、女の子らしい所を見せる場面もあったりします。いや〜本当に可愛いですよぉ（微笑）。
　これら本編以外にも、ダリアンとヒューイ以外のコンビで幻書絡みの話が展開される「断章」が、本編以上に皮肉が効いてますし、あとはダリアンと出会う以前のヒューイが登場する話も掲載されてますから、ザ・スニーカーの連載を読んでいる方でも読むことをお勧めします。
