「最後の相場師」と呼ばれた是川銀蔵氏をモデルにした傑作長編小説である。作者の津本陽氏は歴史小説や、近代に活躍した立志伝中の人物を扱った著書が多い為に、この小説は一種異質にも感じられたが、株式市場に予備知識のない者までもが、手に汗握る株式市場での孤独な戦いの姿が、思わず目に浮かべられるほどの傑作に仕上がっている。

「最後の相場師」是川銀蔵氏がモデル。文体が生き生きしていて、相場の場面では思わず手に汗握る。相場の局面ではかなり史実に忠実に再現していると思うが、そうすると是銀さんも相場の初心者がやるようなミス-期待感に駆られて、自分のルールを破って等-結構手仕舞いに失敗しているなあと。妙な面白さがあった。

現実に存在した相場師の小説。
株式運用の心理的な側面がみごとなタッチで描かれていて面白かった。
