わたしのいもうと　は今日、学校の図書館で読みました。
中学校の時、道徳の本に載ってたのを読んだ事があるのですが、
それは全部文章だったので泣きませんでした。
でも可哀想な話だという印象は受けました。
今日初めて絵本の方を読みました。そして泣きました。悲しすぎます。
まず文章の進み方が本当に悲しくなります。聞いて下さい という感じです。

次に、絵がとっても雰囲気を出していて悲しいです。
私は遠足の場面がいちばん悲しいと思いました。
そして一番感動したのが、中学の時の道徳の本には活字で書いてあった最後のいもうとの言葉が、
この絵本では、絵の中に手書きで書かれていたことです。

とっても悲しくてほんとに考えさせられる本です。

いじめについてですが、この本を読んだら本当にいじめなんてしたくなくなります。

悲しいを連呼していますが、この本。結末は本当の本当に悲しいです！！！

この本は、わたしがずっと以前児童書に携わっていたときに見つけ、いつか自分が子供を持ったら、その子に読んであげようと思っていた本です。この前日本に一時帰国したとき、本を詰めたダンボールの中から見つけ出し、また読んでみました。読むたびに胸が締め付けられ、本当に悲しい気持ちになってしまいますが...
いじめが、いじめられた子供、その親、兄弟と、多くの人の人生に影を落とすことを、いじめた子供たちは思いもよらないのではないか、その足りない想像力をこどもに与えてあげられる。この本には、そんなすばらしい力があります。読んだ子供たちのいじめに対する考え方を揺さぶる内容です。

今は、自分の子供だけでなく、すべての子供たちがこの本に出合えるように願っています。

声無き声が聞こえるようだ。
−いじめられ、最後に生きることを止めた「いもうと」
　いじめを一度でも受けたことのあるひとなら　
　かならず解る　この「いもうと」の気持ちを−

この本を子供・親・そして先生、その他の社会人にも読んでもらいたい。
そして、いま自分には何ができるのかを考えてほしい。

いじめは、どこにでもある。
でも、いま、仲裁者はいないのか。
陰でこっそりと話をしてくれる子はいないのか。

「あとがき」にもあるが、同質でなければいけないという
日本人の感覚そのものが、いじめを、より過酷なものにしていると思う。

この本には、いじめの本質が、平易な文章の中に
静かに、そして明確に語られている。
