   とある田舎町の駅前からブルン、ブルルンと発車して、山の終着駅に着くまでのバスの旅を描いた絵本。ピンポンとなるたびにバスは停まり、いろんな人がのって、いろんな人が降りていく。しかし、誰より魅力的なのは、バスの運転手だ。病院の前のバス停では、「みんな早く元気になるといいな」と思い、いつもバスに手をふる子どものいる家の前を通る時は、すこしスピードを落とす。いつの時代も、子どもたちにとってバスの運転手はヒーローなのだ。

   さらに、この絵本を魅力的にしているのは、その絵である。あたたかな線と色で描かれる絵には、言葉にはなっていない小さなストーリーがたくさんつまっている。風邪をひいたおじいさんに席をゆずる人や、カーブでばらまかれてしまった荷物を皆が拾ってあげたりしている光景などがそこには描かれている。さらに最後のページは運転席の図解になっているなど、暖かな演出が施された1冊。（小山由絵）

内容はバスが駅から終点に向かうまでの出来事がえがかれたものですが、バスの運転手さんの乗客に対する優しい気持ちにとても心が温かくなります。息子はこの本が大のお気に入りで、いつも乗客のひとりになりきっています。バス以外の乗り物も数多く登場するので、乗り物好きなお子さんにもお勧めです。

バスが駅から終点に着くまでの、ほのぼのとした出来事の数々。
途中のりものもたくさん出てきて、働くくるま好きの息子は大喜び。
絵や色もきれいです。何度も見ているうちにいろいろな発見もあり、子供の観察力にも驚かされます。男の子におすすめです。

うちの息子もそうですが、２歳くらいの男の子はたいてい電車やバスがが好きなもののようで、こんな絵本をきっとみんな喜ぶと思います。カラフルで美しく、適度に写実的で温かみのある絵が私も気に入っています。息子は絵本の景色に登場するいろいろなもの…特に救急車やブルドーザーなどの働く車がお気に入りですが…を、あれこれ指差して楽しんでいます。
