　週刊朝日に連載されていた当時から読んでいました。毎回作者が離婚して子供に会えないということが書いてあり、興味をひかれました。もっと言えば作者がこの元妻にぞっこんになって結婚したころの入れ込み具合もある程度年齢を経ている人間にとっては今の状態の伏線のようで、非常に興味深かったです。

　この本を、二人が出会った頃のこの作者の著作と合わせて読むと人生の勉強になると思います。こういうことを教えてくれるから本はありがたいですね。

　病院で、元おくさんが入院している作者に「どうして医者の言うとおり入院なんかしてるの」とか何とか言い、自分は医療費踏み倒したとかいうくだり、チャーミングだとか言ってますが私はこんな女あまり好きになれないなあ。だって凄く辛いときにお医者さんとか看護士さんって一所懸命やってくれるのにそれ裏切るのは人間としてちょっとなあ。クリエイターとして常識を超えてるとか言う話じゃなくて情が無いって言うんじゃないの。私年だから言っちゃうけど。
　そういうの好きになったんなら子供に会わせてくれなくてもチャーミングだとか言って喜んでよ。とか思いました。

　で、面白いですけどちょっと若い人の話です。

ブログを見たことがあるし、「爆笑問題のすすめ」という番組に出ているのを見たこともある。その番組で枡野さんが読まれた短歌が印象に残っていたが、実際に本を読んだことはなかった。
立ち止まり読んで、本屋を出ようとしてまた戻りレジに行きながら、私は寺山修司の本を買いにきたはずだった、と思った。

仕事から帰った後寝っころがって読み続けた三日間。わたしは対話するように読んでいた。それは枡野さんが素直な人だ、と思ったからだと思う。そして冷静であたたかい視点を持った人だと思ったからだと思う。
枡野浩一のように、もっと粘り強く、率直に、丁寧に言葉を選んで、日常を過ごしていきたい、と感じた。
ただわたしが本屋に行ったのは落ち込んだ気分を立て直そうと思ったからなのだが、枡野さんの子供さんたちをめぐる話を読んでいるとますます落ち込んだ気分になった。

本に載せられている関連エッセイ「Error！」の最後の一文を読むと、立ち上がろう、立ち上がろうと思って立ち上がったら、目が覚めてやっぱりはいつくばっている自分がいたように悲しい。でも、このエッセイをしばらく忘れることができないと思う。
自分の孤独を見つめるために何が必要なんだろう。枡野さんは歌を詠んだんだな。

　歌人、枡野浩一氏のエッセイ集「あるきかたがただしくない」は本人も呆れる位、何処から読んでも氏の離婚問題を語る金太郎飴本です。
読み始めると、くどくて食傷気味になるんですが、さらに読み進めると、離婚問題を扱っていない場合は逆に物足りない気分になったりするんです。
特に枡野氏の子供に対する執念もとい愛情には感服してしまいます。
例えば、氏は漫画家である元妻に子供に合わせてくださいとの主旨の手紙を書き綴るのですが、元妻は子供と共に消息不明のため、
手紙は送ることも渡すこともできずに結果儘を雑誌に掲載します。
その真摯な直向さは、くどさを通り越し、呆れ、挙句感動を覚えるのです。
　その姿勢は、たとえ歩き方が正しくなくても、とにかく歩けば前には進んで明るい未来が開けるじゃないかと。
