　国立大学等難関大学受験生や実用英語を目指す社会人にとって短期間で網羅的に文法が学べる良書です。
　英文法の勉強には、文法書を読む、受験生向けの英文法参考書を読む、問題演習する、の3通りがあると思いますが、文法書や参考書を読むのは退屈で挫折しがちなもの。また、読んだ先から忘れて行くため、繰り返し読む必要がありますが、退屈な本を繰り返し読むのも辛いものです。ということで、やはり問題演習を中心に置いて、解説を読んで理解するのが、効率的かつ記憶にも残りやすいと思います。そうした演習書としては、「大学入試英語頻出問題総演習 即戦ゼミ」（桐原書店）や「新・英文法頻出問題演習」（駿台文庫）がありますが、本書の方がコンパクトで持ち歩き易く、短期間で終えることができ、さらに解説が基礎的でいかにも高校教科書的な一般的な解説が簡潔になされていることからお勧めです。ただし、解説を短くしすぎている部分もあり、納得が行かない部分のみ詳しい文法書（例えば、「ロイヤル英文法」（旺文社）などで補う必要があります。また、解説が本文と別冊解答集とに分かれており、縦横に読む必要があるのが、少し面倒です。
　本書と文法書に加えて、本書に記載しているような教科書的文法事項を網羅的に扱っている「英作文の栞」（山口書店）などの例文集の暗記を併用すれば、記憶定着がさらに高まり、効果大となります。

改定されているとはいえ、随分前に出版されたものとは思えないほど
問題の質・網羅性・解説、どれをとっても中々の質の高さに驚かされます。


解説は十分に詳しいとはいえませんが、市販の問題集の中では
ポイントを的確に抑えてくれていて、丁寧な方だといえるでしょう。

入試基礎〜標準レベルの問題集としては良書ではないかと思います。

山口の英文法講義の実況中継と平行して使うと更に理解が深まると思います。


お薦めです。

基礎とありますが、極めて応用・発展に近い内容（上位校にもほとんど対応できるほど）の文法事項についてもまとめられています。これ一冊をこなせば、文法的にディスアドバンテージになることはほぼないと思います。
やり終えた後、文法演習や長文読解にわからない文法があった場合にはそれをシラミつぶしのように理解すればいいと思います。
ただ、若干解説の薄いところ（倒置・仮定法など）があるので、物足りないと感じたら別の手段を用いて積極的に理解することをオススメします。
