DVD-ROM内のCATALOGSファイル、KOJIENフォルダ、FUROKUフォルダの三つを合わせると、データ量は計3.27GBでした。まだ使い始めたばかりで確かなことは言えませんが、この三つがあれば、Jamming 3.9.7（シェアウェア）とDDwin 2.66（フリーウェア）で、静止画、動画、音声を含めて、今のところ特に大きな問題なく閲覧することができているようです。今までは第四版（EPWING版）を使っていたので、それと比べて写真や動画が豊富できれいだなあと思います。マルチメディアコンテンツにはメニュー検索画面からのアクセスが便利ですが、DDwinでは［広辞苑］を指定して［メニュー］タブを押すと、別ウィンドウでメニュー検索画面が表示され、Jammingでは［検索方法(M)］→［画像(G)］→本文表示部の［画像検索］をクリックすると、別ウィンドウでメニュー検索画面が表示されました。

非EPWINGの広辞苑から乗り換えました。やはり、ビューアがいくつもあるよりも、1つにまとめられる方が便利です。

WindowsのビューアではEBwin(フリーソフト)、DDwin(フリーソフト)で動作しました。Windows MobileのEB Pocket(フリーソフト)でも動作しました。Windows Mobileでは静止画の閲覧に加えて、PocketTV(フリーソフト、ただしユーザー登録必要)をインストールすることにより、動画の閲覧も可能になります。

広辞苑は日本語の指標のようなものだ。
出たらなるべく早く、最新の用語の記述の不具合を探すようにしている。
まだ、今回の辞書ではおかしなところは見つけていない。
新たに買う必要があるかといわれれば、第５版を持っているのならいらないでしょうと答えたい。第４版でも十分だと思う。第３版をお持ちの方は、購入を検討してもいいと思います。さすがに、３０年以上経つと、用語が違いすぎるような気がします。
このDVD電子辞書なら、すぐに買い換えをお勧めします。
電子ファイルが古いのは、我慢できない人が多いと思います。
電子辞書の値段は、半分くらいにして欲しいと思います。
