　世に「さるかに合戦」の話は多けれど、マイ・ベストはこの本。私は最初「語り」で聞いて、惚れてしまいました。その後、この本を見つけた時の嬉しさといったら。清水さんの絵がまた、ほのぼのしていて、眼福です。文章は、目で読むより、むしろ声に出して読んだ方が、良さがわかるかも。田舎言葉の得意な人は、自分なまり全開で子供に読んでみて下さい。受けるんだよ、これが。おかげですっかり日本の昔話に目覚めてしまいました。

サルに、親ガニを殺された子ガニたちが
復讐をする、お話。

これは子どもの頃好きで、何度も読んだ記憶があります。
ただ、うちの子（五歳）に読み聞かせをしようと思って
声に出して読んでみると、難しい・・・

『むかしむかし、かにが　しおくみを　しようと　おもうて、
はまべへ　出たところが、　すなの　うえに　、
どこから　どうして　きたもんだか、　
ひとつぶの　かきのたねが　おちておった。』

普段、使い慣れない言葉なので、読みづらかった・・・
聞いていた、うちの子の反応もいまいち。

でも、悪さをしたサルがコテンパにやられる、お話は
楽しくて好きです。
