どの作品ももちろん高水準なのですが、「ナルニア」「フェアリーズ」と、いまひとつ飛びぬけていない作品が続いたサブダ先生、久々の傑作です。最初の見開きからいきなり引き込まれ、最後のページまでノンストップです。特に、最後の見開きは、初めて「クッキーカウント」の最後のページを見たときに近いような驚きがありました。
原作のストーリーは知ってるようで知らないので（ディズニーのは結構違う）日本語版が待たれます。もしくは岩波あたりの原作を併読するとか。

SABUDA氏のオズの魔法使い、不思議の国のアリスのような大掛かりなPOP-UP絵本が大好きですが、このピーターパン購入には戸惑いがありました。アマゾンの写真を見る限りでは、そのダイナミックさが伝わってこなかったからです。

書店で見つけ、戸惑いつつも、ピーターパンの話が好きなことと、以前購入した作品に大変感動したので、購入してみました。

すると、やはりSABUDA氏の作品。写真だけでは確認することの出来ない感動がそこにあります。絵本の間に現れる3Dの船、びょ〜んと飛び出すピーターパン。

大人にも、子供にも同じ感動を与えてくれること間違いなしです。プレゼントとしても最適だと思います。

ポップアップの技巧はやっぱりサブダ、魅せてくれます。
仕掛けは凄い…技巧は凄いんだけど…
絵がもうこれでもかと言わんばかりにアメリカのバタ臭さ全開！！
人魚も可愛くないしピーターパンもきっついし…

技巧のみを評価するなら★５つ。
「絵」は残念ながら★０．５。

間を取って３つにしました。
ロバートにはセンスの良い「絵」で仕掛け絵本を作ってもらいたいのですが…アメリカと日本の感覚の違いでこればかりはどうにもならないか…
