絵本の言葉の間に、Chug　Chug　Chug　Chug・・・（シュッシュッポッポッ）といいながら次のページに移っていくと、臨場感がでて、子供が喜びますよ。簡潔な言葉と、きれいな色で、読み終わるとす~っと心が落ち着くような気がします。

貨物列車が走っているだけの簡単な絵本です。各ページの言葉も、ほとんどが単語で、文章はわずか。でも、なんというか、絵も言葉も、間合いが絶妙なのです。

３才半の息子、１才の娘ともに、一目で気に入っていました。派手な絵や凝ったしかけの本よりも、こういうシンプルで良質な絵本を子供と一緒に楽しみたい、と改めて思わされた一冊。

機関車好きな子供にうってつけの絵本。
デザインも美しく、コールデコット賞も受賞しています。
スピード感を味わいながら、子供と楽しめる絵本です。
