日本語版を気に入っていた私の息子が英語に親しむように、と購入しました。
このボードブックバージョンはサイズが小さくて丈夫に出来てるのは良いのですが、
幼児向けというバージョンなのでしょうか、話がリンゴを10まで頭にのせられた部分で終ってしまい、その後の話が省略されています。

実は息子はその省略された部分が一番好きだったのでとても残念です。
評価はこの省略された部分があったことで４つにしました。
でも最初からこの本をスタートしていたのであればきっと５つ星だったと思います。

日本語版でもおもしろいけど、これは英語で読んで欲しい本です。
韻を踏んでいるからおもしろい！英語のライムを感じて読みたい本。

それでなくても、英語で数を覚え始めたお子さまにも読んであげてください。

最後まで読むと、ちょっと長いので、３歳未満の小さなお子さまには、前半部分（リンゴを１０個のせるまで）だけでもいいでしょう。３歳ぐらいになったら最後までお話が聞けるかな？
また、小学校低学年のおこさまにも英語の導入として使えると思います。

とにかく、おもしろい本です。１ページに数行しかないので、英語が苦手のママでも大丈夫！！是非、英語で読んであげてください！

5.0 out of 5 stars The first book I read by myself, 2004/10/20
I still remember reading this book for myself more than 25 years ago. It was the first book I ever read in entirety. What an accomplishment that was! Of course, I still have an irrational attachment to this book. Like all Dr. Seuss books, this one uses rhymes to teach phonics and silly pictures and situations to keep it interesting for children. A classic learning tool for anyone serious about teaching children English.
