ただ今購入して2ヶ月。
毎日聞いていたわけではありませんがやっと最後までつっかえずに納得のいくような読み方が
出来るようになりました。
(最初は何回か集中して聞いていましたがトータルで子供に読んであげた回数は４回位、自分で読んだ回数は５回程度、聞いた回数は15回位。）
とにかく韻を踏んだ物語の語りが情感たっぷりでおもしろい！
多分本だけ購入すると６１ページありますから途中で挫折してしまうかな〜と思う方は特にお勧めです。
内容は難しくはないのですがこれ位の長さを全部読み通すにはやっぱり慣れと根気は必要です。
その点CDを何回か聞いて、目で追って音を確認した後で読み始めると割りとスムーズに最後までいけると思います。
子供も楽しく読んであげると絵本をじっと眺めながら読んだ単語を確認できているようです。
今は無理でも楽しく二人で交互に読める日が来るまで飽きない楽しいお話だと思います。

絵本のカット絵が素敵、ビデオに匹敵する効果があると思った。
また、ドクター・スースのナレーションもとても気に入ったので、続編を
購入することにした。

Dolch博士により選出された220語の重要単語"Dolch Words"を駆使して書かれたことで有名な絵本。そんな制約の中で書かれたことを感じさせない面白い本で、読むとリズム感があり、楽しくなってきます。陽気な猫さんと男の子と女の子の雨の日のお話です。英語の発音の練習にも適した絵本だと思います。
