引き込まれていくように一気に読めた。雨の夜の場面なんかは、ちょうど外で雨が降っている夜だったので最高に引き込まれた。アガサの小説の中でも一番読みやすいスリルのある作品だと思う。読み進めていく中で、この人が犯人では？と思った人が死んで行く展開に私の頭は迷宮入りしたのですが。色々な可能性を考えながら読み進めていきながらも私にとっては意外な人が犯人だったというのが驚きだった。最後まで読まなければ、超常現象？ではないかと思わせる展開が素晴らしい。多くの作家から今なお名作と評価される理由がわかった。表紙の島の絵もまさに内容とマッチして効果的だ！と思った。

個人的に、「怖い」とは思いませんでした。
ひとりひとり、殺されるというより、すっと舞台袖に消えていく、という感じだと思います。
でも、なんだかずっと余韻が残る作品だと思います。
私は、アガサ・クリスティの作品を初めて読んだんですが、とても感動しました。
何年も前に書かれた小説が、全く色褪せてない、信じられません。

　ミステリ小説史上もっとも偉大な作品であり、全てのミステリ小説の中で未だに頂点に君臨し続けている大傑作です。世界的な評価でも、勿論日本での評価もこの作品を超える作品はありません。全世界で１億部を超える大ベストセラーでありロングセラーです。
　ミステリファンは勿論必読ですが、そうでない方も一度読む事をお勧めします。この作品はミステリファンで無くても感心させるだけの魅力があります。
