男の子が種をまき育てる間、周りの人々は「出てきっこないよ」と言う。言う人によって若干ニュアンスが違うあたり、おさらいしてみよう。

英語の苦手なお母さんでも必ず読めます。
『決してあきらめないこと』を
教える教訓が含まれていながら
それを全く重く感じさせず、
さらりと描いています。
色彩が短調なのと、絵柄があまり
芸術的でなく、コミカルなので、
私は退屈しましたが、逆に幼い子供には
こういう単純なものが最良なのであって、

長く気に入り、繰り返し読まれる作品かもしれません。

茶色とオレンジ色と白色の、ほのぼのとした絵本です。
A litte boy planted acarrot seed.で1ページ。
His mother said,"I'mafraid it won't come up."で１ページ
と1ページの英語が短く、横のページにかわいいイラストが
入っているので、とても読みやすいです。
24ページで12枚に英語があります。
あきらめないでいれば必す芽が出るという大切なお話です。
男の子が淡々とした表情でいるところが
お仕着せがましくなくていいです。
