　全く知らないバンドでしたが、バンド名・ジャケを見てなんとなく買ってみました。調べたところ2000年に結成、2002年1月にリリースしたファースト・アルバムに続いて2002年10月にリリースされた5曲入りミニ・アルバムとのことです。メンバーは全員テクニシャンです。基本的にラテンのリズムを取り込みつつも「和」の香りを残したサウンドで、全編を通してのピアノやギターのシャープなリズムと、混沌としたパーカッションが心地よいです。1曲目は単純なリフを延々と繰り返すだけですが、少しずつメンバーが羽目を外してキワドイ音塊を叩き込んでいく様子は圧巻。"Unchain My Heart"も、アレンジも演奏も申し分なく、粗暴な歌い方もマッチしてます（発音が下手なのがツラいところ；どうせなら日本語に直せばいいのに）。最後の"Wicked Song"はなんとヴォーカルとパーカッション（和太鼓？）だけで、時々ピアニカが加わるという演奏。これが最高でした。
　正直それほど売れないと思いますが、こんなバンドが日本にいるんだと思うとなんだか嬉しい気分になりました。これがcopa salvoの「ベスト・アルバム」なら他のアルバムを買う気はありませんが、これよりも3作目のほうがよさそうなので、気が向いたら買ってみようかな・・・と思ってます。
　ちなみに、ジャケットの隅っこに小さな文字で「黒色のCDトレイは何があっても絶対に取り外さないでください。万が一取り外してしまった場合には、速やかにその内側にある印刷面に異常がないかどうかをご確認ください。」と変なことが書かれていたので外してみたところ、メンバーと思われる6人の白黒写真があり、下に"We Are The Latin Rockers"と書かれていました。
