　「戦争責任」とは一体、何なのだろうか？そもそも、あの大戦は、日本が一方的に開始した戦争だったのだろうか？この場を借りて、この本の著者である岡野さんにお尋ねする。岡野さんは、例えば、通州事件を御存知だろうか？（もし、御存知ないなら、検索エンジンに「通州事件」と入れて、通州事件がどんな事件だったのか知って欲しい）通州事件は、１９３７年７月２９日、北京郊外の通州と言う町で、中国人が、そこに合法的に居留して居た日本の民間人を襲撃し、拷問、強姦の末、多くの幼い子供や老婆を含む女性達を惨殺した事件である。−−日本人が中国人を、ではない。中国人が、突然、日本の民間人を襲撃し、拷問、強姦の末、２６０人もの民間人を惨殺したのである。−−この事件が無ければ、１９３７年の夏、日本と中国が、あの戦争に突入する事は無かったのではないだろうか？又、通州事件の２２日前に起きた盧溝橋事件にしても、発砲したのは中国側である。−−日本と中国が戦争に突入した「戦争責任」は、本当に、日本だけに在ったのだろうか？
　そして、岡野さんは、ソ連が、満州に侵攻した事の「戦争責任」が日本に在るとでも言ふのだろうか？その時（１９４５年８月９日）、日ソ中立条約はまだ有効だった。だから、ソ連は条約を破って戦争を始めたのだが、この「戦争責任」も日本に在るのだろうか？
　満州に侵攻したソ連軍は、満州各地で、子供を含む多くの日本人女性を強姦した。その中には、例えば、ソ連兵に大通りで強姦された女性や、すし詰めの収容所の屋内で、多くの男性や子供の目の前で強姦された日本人女性も居たのである。岡野さんは、こう言ふ歴史を、女性の一人としてどう思ふのだろうか？
