   第26話「明日への飛翔」では、その外観から「もしかしたら…？」と思われていた、CREWGUYS基地フェニックス・ネストがやっぱり飛翔。ヤプールの侵攻を未然に阻止するというエピソード。ミサイル超獣ベロクロンが、板野一郎CGIモーション・ディレクターの手でミサイルを土蜘蛛状に発射する（所謂“板野サーカス”）シークエンスは、確かに往年のファンにとって夢の実現だが、ストーリーのキモたる部分を担うミサキ・ユキ総監代行役の石川紗彩の演技がぎこちなく、意図したであろう感動が伝わってこない。続く第27話「激闘の覇者」は、マケット怪獣の強化につまわる話で、人気怪獣たちが続々総登場するあたりが見もの。怪獣の特徴を解説するテッペイ隊員を演じる内野謙太もまた、本シリーズ出演をきっかけに、過去の怪獣たちに詳しくなったそうで（Vol.6の映像特典中のインタヴューで自ら述懐）、彼の解説は単なる演技ではなく、地の部分の知識に裏打ちされたもののようだ。またウルトラマンメビウスがプロトマケット怪獣ゼットンに破れたカットを「ウルトラマン」最終回そっくりに撮ったくだりは、小中和哉監督の茶目っ気が感じられて楽しい。（斉藤守彦）

６巻のバキシムに続き、ドラゴリーとベロクロンも登場。
特にベロクロンはベロクロン２世やら改造ベロクロンとして何度も登場した人気超獣。
サコミズ隊長に瀕死の重傷を負わせ、クルーガイズとの壮絶な死闘を演じる
（その割には呆気なくメビウスに倒されたのがやや不満だが）。
ドラゴリーもマリア１号の発射基地跡（つまりガイズ基地が今建っている場所）の
破壊を目的としているなど、ヤプールの怨念によって生み出されたせいか
ウルトラマンエースと戦った当時の記憶を受け継いでいるものと推測できる、
彼ら超獣は、死しても尚、ウルトラマンと戦い続ける運命にあるのか…。

ヤプール決着編！ 基地が戦闘機に！ ｖｓゼットン！ 円盤生物襲来！
……と書き連ねれば今回も良作の予感がしますが、ところが見終えると、いつもより少し満足感が足りません。それというのも、個人的に楽しみだった「メビウスとガイズの成長と絆」というファクターが、すでにそれぞれ一人前・一蓮托生と言えるほどになってしまったがために入り込めなくなってしまったからだと思います。
そういう見方だと、第二十八話はコノミを主役にした「変わる心、変わらぬ心」を描いた面白いものでしたが、今度は「円盤生物」という意味深な存在が添え物になってしまい、これまたやや不満足。つまらないとは全然思いませんが、でも「〜メビウス」はこんなものじゃないだろう、ということで減点ひとつ。
というか、第二十九話の予告編を見ると、本編さえかすむようなドエラいことになってるんですケド（汗）。

７巻には蛾超獣ドラゴリー、ミサイル超獣ベロクロンが登場します。
ドラゴリー、ベロクロンの話にはティガ、ガイアに登場した石橋ケイが久々に登場いたします。さらにマリナの意外な弱点が明らかに！そしてマックスにも登場したゼットンが再び登場します。今回は「宇宙恐竜」ではなく「マケット怪獣」としてガイズ基地の電脳世界に登場します。そしてメビウスがレオ後半の共通の敵円盤生物ノーバと激戦を繰り広げます。超獣編の前編そして衝撃の復活怪獣の後半どちらも十分楽しめますので乞うご期待！！
