過去2度にわたり映画化された半村良の同名原作を、72年版の監督である斎藤光正が豪華キャストによりTVドラマ化。演習中の自衛隊員たちが最新鋭の兵器と共に1600年の関ヶ原にタイムスリップし、戦国の戦いに巻き込まれていく。

伊庭明義・嶋村卓也の2人が率いる陸上自衛隊の2小隊が、富士山麓の演習地に向かう途中で突然400年前の琵琶湖畔にタイムスリップしてしまう。自衛隊員たちが戦国時代で生きる意味と戦う意義を問いかけながら、生きていく姿を描く。2006年に日本テレビ系で放送されたテレビドラマをDVD化。

なんか面白くなかった。

千葉真一が主演のオリジナルはめっちゃ好きなのだが。

江口主演の映画版もふくめて、リメイク戦国自衛隊はダメダメだね。
オリジナルにあったドキドキワクワクさせてくれる感が皆無。
オリジナルは千葉さんや夏八木さんが渋くて土臭くて妙な生々しさが映画全篇にわたって漂っていた。
だけど、リメイクにはそれがない。
綺麗すぎるんだよね。これじゃあリアリティを感じられないよ。

でもまあ、渡部篤郎の演技は良かった。

　４時間を越える割には内容が薄い。物語りも想像がつきそうな歴史上の人物に入れ替わる野望の面が、この人物ではちょっと説得力に欠けるのでは？と思わせる。
　反町がこの時間内にほとんど動かない。静観し、最後の最後にケリを付けるようなタルさ。怒りを放出する演出としてＳＩＧ２２８を宙に向けて撃つシーンが何度も出てくる。といった様な感じで同じ演出が使いまわされている。
　正月番組の時間枠が取れたがそれをうまく消化しきれなかった作品だろう。この内容なら２時間でよかったのではないかと思われる。

　反面、小早川秀秋にスポットを当てたのは評価できる。どの歴史物でも悪者扱いなだけの彼を、苦悩と葛藤の表現が正に藤原竜也というキャスティングがピッタリで、うまく表現しきっている。
　
　せっかく自衛隊に協力をあおぎ、小火器、戦車、ヘリ等リアルなのだが、なにかしっくりこないと感じたら銃の発砲時に排莢（薬莢がでること）がされていなく、取りこぼしたような感じだ。
　４時間の枠で役者にギャラ払うなら時間短くしてこれらのリアリティに徹底した方が濃厚さが増すと思うのだが。

　いずれにしろ角川のオリジナル作品を抜くのは難しいと感じた。
　藤原ファンなら買って損はないと思うが、反町ファンには消化不良と感じるだろう。

良くも悪くも戦国自衛隊らしい
作品。家康、小早川の見方が変
わるかも。徳川の忍びは登場す
るのに半蔵は出てこない。自衛
隊は半蔵を使う程の相手でない
ということか？第１部までは良
かったが…。第２部ナレーショ
ンの神谷明さんは違和感有り。
ラストに納得できれば良作か？

このドラマ版を元にもっと制作費をかけて劇場版をつくって下さい。チープな演出が本当に残念に思ったくらいハラハラドキドキして見れましたので。
