今から30年も前の話になりますが、私は沢田研二さんのコンサートの中で、井上尭之バンドの演奏(もちろんキーボードは大野克夫氏)による名曲スコッチ刑事のテーマを生で聞く事ができ、そのかっこよさに鳥肌がたったことを覚えています。今、こうやってDVDを見返してみると、沖雅也氏演じるスコッチ刑事は本当にクールでかっこいいです。彼自身の人生は、衝撃的なピリオドを打ちましたが彼が演じたスコッチ刑事の勇姿は、このDVDと共に我々ファンの中に永遠に生き続けることでしょう。

5.0 out of 5 stars さらばスコッチ、そして本格的なボンの活躍。, 2007/7/13
初期のスコッチ転勤〜ボンの単独編までが収録されており、どれも秀作名作揃いで楽しめます。スコッチの心の回復による初期最終編の「さらばスコッチ!」が一番の見所ですし、スコッチの存在感の凄さが改めて再確認できますが、単独となったボンの活躍にも注目です。それまで控えめだったボンも本格的に活躍、そして成長していきます。本作をこれ以降も見続ける方にはボンの活躍にこそ注目してほしいです。後に先輩刑事として、テキサスやスコッチにも負けないぐらいの存在感で大活躍しますからボンも。

スコッチが山田署に転勤することになる「さらばスコッチ」をはじめ若手刑事がボン一人だけになる期間を収録している。巨星テキサスとスコッチの前にイマイチ存在感の薄い田口刑事だが、若手刑事の中では最長寿命を誇っている。
