昔TVで放映されていたのが懐かしく、また高校大学でレスリング部に在籍していたので、高価ですが買ってしまいました。
今のTVモニターでゆっくりと観賞すると絵の雑なのが（宮崎アニメ等を経験してしまうと）やたらと目立ちます。レスリングの物語なのにそのことが殆どストリーに出てこないの不思議ですね。たまにレスリングのことが描かれていても（経験者からみて）スポーツとしては滅茶苦茶ですね。主題歌を亡くなられた朱里エイ子さんが歌っています。パワフルですね。合掌
アニメマニアかレスリングおたく御用達。

　僕が、小学5年生になった時に始まった、短期間のアニメでした。原作の川崎のぼるは、当時「巨人の星」も描いていて、そのタッチが同じものですから、安心して見ることができました。
　1968年は、メキシコ・オリンピックの年だったと思います。この番組は、オリンピック直前まで放映されていますから、きっとレスリングに注目された方も多かったと思います。主題歌は、歌手の朱里エイコが歌っていたのですが、「・・・メキシコ目指して・・・♪♪」の歌詞は印象的です。
　それまで、日本ではマイナーだったスポーツですが、子どもの心にもレスリングが刻まれたアニメでした。
