モーニングで連載、NHKでアニメをやっている、プラネテスのサントラです。
アニメ自体のできがとても良いのですが，サントラも負けず劣らず素晴らしいです。
『地球外少女』や『屑星の空』で使われた、「A Secret Of The Moon」も収録されているし、全体的に見てもよいです。

また、サントラとしてではなく普通のCDとしても、各所に入っている、三味線などの和楽器と、トランペット、トロンボーンなどのセッションが素晴らしいです。

いよいよ中盤にさしかかるアニメ「プラネテス」
ＢＧＭも耳に馴染み早くサントラ欲しい！と思っていたところに絶妙のタイミングでリリース。様々なシーンがよみがえる楽曲たち…。でも未収録の曲もあるからきっとＯＳＴ２もあるに違いないと思うのですが。

宇宙モノ、ということで正攻法でフルオーケストラでジャンジャン！というのもありますが、面白いのは尺八だったり三味線だったり胡弓といったアジアンな楽器もフューチャーされていること。テルミンも使われてたりします。曲によってはリズムに揺れがあり、それは決して変な感じではなく「近い宇宙」を感じさせてくれます。生活のＢＧＭにするもよし、聴き入るもよし、お薦めです。

近未来の宇宙を舞台にした、『プラネテス』。
原作もおもしろいんですが、私はどちらかと言うとアニメ派です。(ストーリーが違います)
その理由の一つに、アニメプラネテスを彩る音楽です。
要所要所で流れる曲はドレも素晴らしいものばかり。
特にお気に入りは、一話のラスト近くで流れた｢Jupiter Highway｣です。
晴れた夜に聞くと感動が倍に！

酒井ミキオ氏が歌う、ＯＰとＥＤも入ってます。
アニメファンは是非聞いてみてくださいっ。

自分が持っているＣＤの中で、一番買って良かったと思ったのがこのサントラです。
普段からこのＣＤを聞いて、近未来プラネテスの世界に浸っています。
