   人気漫画家横山光輝の作品を原作に、1968年春から1年間にわたって放送された特撮ヒーロー番組の傑作。仮面の忍者赤影（坂口徹）、彼をサポートする白影（牧冬吉）、少年忍者青影（金子吉延）が、戦国時代を舞台に幕府転覆を狙う数々の組織と戦いを繰り広げる。
   というように、基本は真っ当な忍者モノのようなのであるが、先に特撮ヒーローと書いたとおり、全編にわたってロボットや巨大怪獣、その他SF的アイテムや、きわめて現代的な技術を駆使した武器や小道具がバンバン登場。忍術や妖術もほとんど魔法に近いレベルであり、このなんでもあり感が一度ハマると実に楽しい。
   本作は、全52話が13話ずつ収録された全4部で構成されており、当時の特撮番組としては珍しく大河ドラマ形式となっている。本巻ではその第2部、特にSF色の強い「卍党篇」全13話を2枚のディスクに収録している。（田中 元）

３つのギヤマンの鐘が鳴り響くオープニングから始まる卍党編。シリーズで一番クールで奇抜な作品だと思います。
何と言っても、懲りない悪党甲賀幻妖斎のしぶとさといったら、たいしたもんです。今回は、ウェットスーツにガスマスクスタイルで登場。その斬新なスタイルに感動の嵐ですね。大泉あきらさんの変なポルトガル人も愉快でした。白影さんも自慢の凧で大活躍！！
シリーズ中、最も未来的な作品がこの第２部「卍党編」です。
ＤＶＤですが、画質はよくないですが気にはなりません。それ以上に楽しめる内容ですからね。また、すべてのディスクに特典として、ＢＧＭ集が入っているのも貴重です。心躍る「忍者マーチ」のいろいろなテイクや「しゅっ、しゅっしゅっしゅしゅ、空を飛んで~」で始まる「赤影の歌」、更には各場面に欠かせないＢＧＭも網羅されています。また、各悪役と怪獣データも収録されており、マニアックに勉強になりますよ！！

卍党篇は、第一シリーズ金目教篇の勢いをさらに加速する面白さだ。今回も前シリーズの金目像に引き続き、陸空海を縦横無尽に暴れまわる機械兵器「大まんじ」が登場し、卍党の底力を見せつけ、全体に緊張感を与えている。卍党篇では安易に怪物（怪獣）に頼らない姿勢が成功し、甲賀うつぼ忍群との妖術対忍法の戦いが硬軟取り混ぜた好演出で見ている者をわくわくさせてくれる。ギヤマンの鐘の争奪合戦に絡んで、火炎陣を用いる不知火典馬の豪放な暴れぶりや白影の凧対黒道士の忍び傘の空中戦など名場面が目白押しである。総じて今シリーズは俳優陣の熱演が光る。頭領 甲賀幻妖斉はさらに露出度が高くなって悪役の本領発揮だし、付け鼻のメイキャップまでした魔老女の奇怪さも格別だ。また、出演は少ないが、ジュリアン、ペドロの二役を演じる大泉滉氏の怪演がどぎもを抜く面白さだ。

仮面の忍者 赤影！
なつかしいの一言です。子供の頃再放送で見たのですが、DVDでみて記憶が甦ってくる思いです。
原作の横山光輝のマンガも読んで（社会人になってから）いたので、DVDではマンガでの懐かしい人物が登場してきてさらに嬉しかったですね。
忍者モノということになってますが、空飛ぶ円盤/ウルトラマンで出てくるような怪獣、忍者ものでは考えられないハイテクアイテム、時代考証考えてない武器や小道具がバンバン登場。なんでもあるという感覚が面白くて子供心にも強い印象を与えたのでしょうね。今見ても楽しめる内容です！
