   前作の大ヒットでシリーズ化された、シルベスター・スタローン脚本&主演のバトル・アクション第2弾。刑務所を釈放されM・I・A （戦闘中行方不明者）調査任務を背負い、ベトナムへと派遣されたランボー。ところが司令部に裏切られ、米軍、東側ゲリラ部隊、あらゆるものを敵に回すはめに。
   爆弾付き弓矢など、実戦で使用できる本物の武器類と驚異の殺傷術が続々登場。大型戦闘ヘリ同士の空中戦を白眉にランボー＝スタローンは前作よりもマッチョ度を増した。ここには84年、M・I・A 問題に触れた時の合衆国大統領レーガンの、好戦的「レーガニズム」の反映も見られよう。
   共同脚本は無名時代のジェームズ・キャメロン。後半のアクションのみが採用されたというが、彼はここで出会ったマリオ・カサール製作で『ターミネーター2』を作ることになる。（轟 夕起夫）

　Sylvester Stallone氏が映画界でAmericaの使命を負った存在になり、この映画でも大活躍を果たすseriesの2ndです。一転して今回はランボーの戦場での本当の姿が拝見でき、鍛えぬかれた身体と様々な兵器を思う存分に発揮しながら、今回も怒りの本音を叩きつけます。かつての上官からVietnumで捕虜になっている兵士の調査して欲しいとの依頼を受けるランボー。気が乗らないも要請を受けたランボーはかつてのVietnumの地へ。しかし半ば命令が届かず単独で救出作戦に変更。度重なるaccidentと共に怒濤の猛攻を開始する。とにかく爆破sceneは今も迫力が十分伝わり、そこに現れるランボーの肉体美のcontrastは映画史に刻まれるでしょう。温和しいランボーのすべてをぶちまけた最後のセリフも印象に残ります。ありがとう。

　アクション映画ファンよりも兵器マニアを喜ばせたという奇妙な映画です。原作では敵と共倒れしたランボーなのに＜スタローン＝ランボー＞が死ぬことを拒否したが為に生き残るという前作の奇妙なラストの御蔭でその五倍の製作費を投じた本作が製作される運びになりました。訳あってベトナムに戻ったランボーが現地軍とそれに協力するロシア軍相手に死闘を繰り広げるというのが本作の粗筋ですが、実際には現地人の女性情報員との淡い恋を絡ませるなど幼稚な小細工が裏目に出て継ぎ接ぎだらけのB級ストーリーと化しています。ただし前述の通り、様々な武器がそれぞれの<出番＞を与えられて登場するので、その手のものに興味がある方にとっては楽しめる作品だと思います。

この映画は娯楽映画なので、スカッとしますね。
特に後半の戦闘シーンはもう・・・最高！！！
次々にベトナムの基地を破壊していくところと、
ヘリコプターの一対一の対決もみどころです。
そして一番よかった場面はランボー帰還後、
お偉いさん(一番の敵)に向かって銃を乱射して脅したところですね。
あそこが一番スカッとしますよ！
