   シルベスター・スタローン主演の、80年代肉体派アクションの代表作。ベトナムで特殊部隊グリーンベレーとして活躍したものの、帰国後に待っていたのは、絶望的な孤独と社会からの疎外感。帰還兵ランボーは、警察の理不尽な訊問に戦地での忌まわしい記憶をよみがえらせ、単身、数百人もの警官隊相手にゲリラ戦を挑むことになる。
   原作はデビッド・マレルの『一人だけの軍隊』。スタローンは製作も兼ね、脚本にも参加。脱走して森の中、サバイバルナイフ1つで警官隊を制圧してしまう前半、M60マシンガンを手に入れ、町に侵入して大反撃をみせる後半…と全編にみなぎるはぐれ者の怒りが強烈だ。また、監督のテッド・コッチェフは以後、『地獄の7人』『地獄のヒーロー』などM・I・A （ベトナムの戦闘中行方不明者）救出映画の第一人者となった。（轟 夕起夫）

ストーリーや状況説明は他のレビューにある通り。
タイトルは、もともとスタローン扮するランボーが、元上官に答えて言う台詞から。しかし日本で『ランボー』というタイトルで大ヒットしたため、続編からは、原題もRambo2となった、らしい。

とにかく、スタローンの体当たりの演技がすごいです。ランボー・シリーズ以外のスタローンはあんまり好きじゃないんですが(笑)、このシリーズ一作目のスタローンはいい。

崖から飛び降りるシーンをスタント無しでやって骨折したなんてエピソードもありますが、それくらい気合い入ってます。ランボーはグリーンベレーにいたということですが、グリーンベレー隊員のワンマン・アーミーとしてのすごさもよぉく伝わってきます。ご都合主義で強いんじゃなくて、本当に鍛え上げられた戦闘員。

私は先に小説のほうを読んでいたので、エンディングにちょっと違和感をおぼえましたが、これがハリウッド流なのでしょう。そういえば、たしかスタローンの弟がエンディングで流れる曲を演っていたような記憶があります。
アクションとして戦闘シーンも楽しめますが、やはりまだアメリカがひきずっているヴェトナム戦争の「負債」を感じ取って欲しいです。
