ナチュラルでオーガニックな大人のプレミアムアルバム

約2年半ぶり、9枚目のオリジナル・アルバムは、アレンジにDavid Campbell(2003年、アルバム「Harvest song」にも2曲参加)を迎え、LAで昨年の6月から1年をかけナチュラルでオーガニックな大人のアルバムを制作。全10曲中4曲は本人書下ろしの新曲、5曲を英語詞カバー、残る1曲は、父である松本幸四郎(当時市川染五郎)の作詞・曲で1967年リリースした、大ヒット曲「野バラ咲く路」を収録。

リリースがアナウンスされ「洋楽カバーとオリジナルが半々」とのことで、正直「それはどうかな?」と思いましたが、2度3度と聴きこむ程に「これはいいじゃん」となりました。
オリジナルは、たか子さんご自身が4曲と、お父様のオリジナルを実娘がカバーという、素敵な構成になっています。

たか子さんはシンガーとしても、ソングライターとしても一回り大きくなられましたね。

英語の曲を聴いてもあまり心に響かない人には向いてません。
日本語曲に関しては、地味目の曲が多く、じっくりしっとり聞く人には向いているでしょう。ポップな感じはまったくありません。海外のスタジオで、ベテランミュージシャンに囲まれて、じっくり作っているようですが、こういうアルバムを作りたかったのでしょう。でもセールス的には厳しいのでは・・・、というかあまり気にしていない！？今度うちの地元でコンサートがありますが、チケットが売れていないのか、ずっとテレビコマーシャルをしています。熱心なファンの方、頑張って各地のコンサートに行ってください。
