【ストーリー】
1939年、ナチスドイツがポーランドに侵攻したとき、シュピルマンはワルシャワの放送局で演奏するピアニストだった。ワルシャワ陥落後、ユダヤ人はゲットーに移住させられ、飢えや無差別殺人に脅える日々を強いられる。やがて何十万ものユダヤ人が強制収容所へ移されるなか、シュピルマンは奇跡的に死を免れ、ワルシャワ蜂起を目撃する。必死に身を隠し、ただ、生き延びることだけを考えるシュピルマン。だが、ある晩彼は遂にひとりのドイツ人将校に見つかってしまう・・・。

この作品の評価は言う迄もなく映画史に残る傑作です。
画質・音質は以前発売されたＨＤソフトは不評でかなりユーザーから叩かれたみたいですが、
以前の商品とは見比べてはいませんが、ブルーレイ版の本作の画質・音質は合格点だと思います。
作品事態、大戦中の悲しい物語の為、薄暗いシーンが多いですが特に問題は無いです。
後、ＤＶＤより特典が増えたのも良かったです。
購入に迷っているユーザーの方は、購入しても問題ないと思います。

3.0 out of 5 stars 忘れかけてた映画らしい映画。, 2009/10/23
戦場のピアニストといってもほぼ前編が『ピアニスト』より『戦場』メインだ。 見る前は戦火の中でピアノを引きながら人々の心を癒す・・・そんな作品かと一瞬想像してもみたが、ロマンポランスキーがそんな作品に仕立て上げるはずがない。とにかく死ぬ。とにかく悲しい。とにかく怒りを覚える。同じ民族でさっきまで同じ環境にいた人間の中で主従関係を作る。それも急激に。ナチスとはそういうものであり、今でいうところの北朝鮮も話が通じない、道理が通じない点で全く同じであり、常人には理解できない。
観ていていつピアノを弾くのかなとドキドキしてた。そして『もし急に自分が主
人公と入れ替わったらどうしよう』なんて考えた。小学校低学年でピアノ界での出世を諦めて早すぎる引退を決意した自分、音大という場所がどんな男子でも少ないがゆえにモテモテであるということを知り、ピアノを引退したことに対し後悔した自分、ドラマ『ロンバケ』を観てまたしても後悔した自分、『のだめ』が流行ったらきっとピアノも流行るだろうなと予測する自分、いろんな自分がいるがこの主人公に当てはめることは出来なかった。
が、とにかくこの映画はいい描写がたくさんあって、映画っていいものだと改めて教えてもらった。たとえばシケモクを吸う主人公のカット。おそらく今流行っている日本映画（踊る〜系）やハリウッドの超大作ではきっと見ることのできないカットであろう。そのカット一つでその貧困時代、主人公の置かれている状況を表現している。素晴らしいではないか。ピアノの椅子をぐるぐる回してサイズを合わせるところとかも素晴らしい。そんな僕らが忘れかけてた映画らしい描写を教えてくれたロマンポランスキーの功績は大きい。そろそろアメリカに入国させてあげてもいいんじゃないだろうか。

東芝エンタ（ショウゲート）発売でＨＤ　ＤＶＤだけが
リリースされていたが、お世辞にもＨＤのクオリティとしては
満足できるものではなかった。

今回のブルーレイははたしてどうなのか。

同一のマスターを使ってるだけなら
クオリティの向上はあまり期待できないだろう。

ブルーレイのためにリマスターしているとは
思えないし。
