自身のインタービューで話している通り
音楽家としての葛藤が感じられる作品です。

自身の限界に気づき、過去の自分と対峙する中で
生まれた新境地。

それにしてもこの声、このメロディーの存在感。

さらにアレンジ、ミキシングとも彼女の存在を
目の前に感じることができる。

新しい柴田淳嬢の光が見えてきます。

もっと自由に思うままに表現したいことに
挑戦した彼女の姿も見てみたい。

もっともっと多くの人に聞いてもらいたい
アーティストの一人ですね。

曲・アレンジは益々芳醇さを増している。そして、以前から彼女の歌詞や歌声に僕は“あやかし”を感じていたが、１、３、５、１０など聞くにいよいよ真骨頂発揮という気がする。
ロック調の曲があるとブログで書いてはいたが、１には驚いた。サビ、絶対柴田淳にしか書けない独特の純和風下降音階メロをしなやかに歌いあげる、僕には絶品。３はアルバムとして聴いて、シングルでは気づかなかった楽曲の質の高さを認識。４、塩谷氏はつかの間のニューオーリンズ旅行に連れて行ってくれるとともに、彼女のイタズラ心を上手く引き出し、これもサイコー。「紅蓮の月」や「愛をする人」の“系図”の６、８の味わい深さ。再びロック調の佳曲９、珍しく中盤にＧとＢのユニゾンリフがちょこっと。もっとこういう仕掛けが増えると面白い、と思うのは僕だけでしょうか。
「月夜の雨」が大好きな僕にとっては、本作は身も心もどっぷり浸れる力作です。

自分の歌を作詞，作曲し続けるのは，とても大変なことだろうなと思っています。
柴淳は，ちょー大ヒットの曲はないものの，忘れられることなく手堅く自分の世界を守りながら歩き続けている数少ない歌手兼作詞・作曲者だと思います。
今回のアルバムも，ファンの皆さんに怒られるのを覚悟で，恐れずに言うならば満点の曲の集合体ではないものの，何か惹かれるところがある曲が続きます。私にとって全面的にいいという曲は残念ながら今回のアルバムにはなかったのですが，この曲のこのフレーズ，あの曲のこの詩，といった具合に惹かれるところがちりばめられており，ひょっとするともっとも繰り返し聞きたくなるようなアルバムなのかもしれません。そういう点で今回のアルバムも期待を裏切りませんでした。
