今回このｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを手にする前は、正直に言って不安でした。なにせ、BOφWYのカバーと自曲のリメイク。BOφWYも好きなだけにこの企画、やってしまうのではないかと、期待半分不安半分で聴けばなんのなんの！！カッコイイではないですか！？
本当に期待以上にカッコイイ。賛否分かれるとの声も聴かれますが、PERSONZファンであれば納得の一枚だと思います。
某サイトで一部曲が試聴できますが、その一部の曲を聴いて判断するのは早とちりってものです。（曲はフルで聴けないのもあります。）

BOφWYのカバー曲では、流石！本田毅氏のコードワークとソロで絶妙にPERSONZ感を出しているし、藤田勉氏のDr.が全盛期のPERSONZ並の仕事をしてます。（一部打ち込みだとしても）蘇ってます。もちろんJILLの歌でPERSONZではありますが。
個人的に、『MARIONETTE』と（賛否分かれそうですが、渡辺貢氏と本田毅氏のイントロのユニゾンとAメロでのギターコードが絶妙！！）『JUSTY』,『RUNAWAY TRAIN』（PERSONZだったら絶対ないであろうテンポの良さと、JILLの声が意外にマッチしていてカッコ良い）が好きです。

自曲のリメイクの方では、賛否が分かれるであろう『Midnight teenage shuffle』、よく聴けば本田毅氏のギターが炸裂していて、ベースがシンセベースで軽い分Liveでどのようになるか楽しみだし、『BE HAPPY』は、勢いこそなかれあの落ち着いた感じは現在のPERSONZ！！綺麗です。


改めて、今回のこのアルバムは、間違いなくPERSONZとしてのアルバムとなっているように思います。むしろ熟練して安定感があり、PERSONZとして自身があるからあえて『BOφWYのカバー』と『リメイク』で出したのでは？と思います。

ヘッドフォンで何回も聴いて、それぞれのオリジナルとの違いを探すもよし！今のPERSONZのレベルの高さを確認するもよしのアルバムです。

赤い方にもレビュー入れたが、つくづくVoジルの「カラオケ」を聴かされている感じ。
BOΦWYの楽曲に限って言えば「お粗末」以外の何物でも無く、聴くに堪えない。

同じ時代をともに生きた戦友であるBOΦWYに対するリスペクトから楽曲をイジらないのか？
独自のアレンジなんて全く無く、本当に素人がCDのままをカラオケで歌ってる感じ。

やはりBOΦWYはBOΦWY、PERSONZはPERSONZだ。
この中のBOΦWYの楽曲を聴くと、口直しに無性に本物を聴きたくなる、そしてその世界に陶酔してしまう。
リスペクトするBOΦWYを際立たせる為に楽曲を使ったのか？
謎である。

リアルタイムのBOΦWYファンから見ると、砂を噛んだ気分。

自分達の持ち歌に関しては懐かしく当時を思い出しながら聴けたが、新しくCDにする程のトピックは無く、彼らの歌を聞きたければ89年当時の「NO MORE TEARS」が一番良いと思う。

奏者も聴者も歳を取る、若いころとのギャップにゲッ！と来るのは致し方無いが・・・変わらないのはジルの体型くらいか・・・。
何れにしても後ろ向きは良くないという事ですな。

ＰＥＲＳＯＮＺはギターの本田氏が脱退する前の先鋭的なビートサウンドが好きでした。このアルバムは本田氏が脱退した後期ＰＥＲＳＯＮＺサウンドに近いと思います。
ですので脱退前に発表されたオリジナルのナンバーにはかなり違和感を感じました。
