今回初めて石川さんのアルバムを購入しました。
石川さんの世界観が出てる一枚だと思います。

有名なPrototypeはもちろん、新曲のシルフィードが個人的に好きです！
そしてきれいなアイルランドの風景もいいですね！

石川さんを知ったきっかけはライブだったんですが･･･もちろんライブも感動したし、とても良かったのですが、
CDのほうが石川さんらしさが出せてるような気がします。

先行の詩+music videoである『OWN WRITE』より引き続きの
アイルランドロケのジャケット写真が意外に思えたが、よくよく
考えてみれば石川智晶のあり方にこれほどしっくり来る場所はない。
――淡い緑、白い小花、そしてまるで吹き渡る風が見えるような
青い空を背景に佇むその人が歌うのは、やはり潔すぎると思う
ほど潔い、すべてを拭い去った飾らない美しい風景の数々。

これ以上ないと思うほどの優しさや穏やかさで包み込む「砂のドルフィン」
「誰も教えてくれなかったこと」などの極上バラード。そして冒頭の「Prototype」や
「squall」など相反するように凛々しくも激しく内面を曝け出す楽曲との
温度差が素晴らしい。矛盾する世の中や自分自身との葛藤。硬質な手触りで
駆け上がり火照った素足を浸すような心地よい冷たさ...そんな冒頭三曲
からの流れのまま続く「クラウディ」「落涙」で、さらに心惹き付けられる。
まるで上辺だけの優しさを拒む衝動そのままの打ち捨てられた荒野を照らす
月光のように。その眼差しは常に一点だけを見つめている。どことなく牧歌的な
「Shylpeed〜シルフィード〜」では妖精に例えた儚い少女期を懐古し「49scale」
では、己自身の中に宿る荒削りの野生を研ぎ澄ます悟りを羽ばたかせる。

先行シングルの「First Pain」やタイトル曲である「誰も教えてくれなかったこと」
からは想像もつかない曲展開だ。それでもやはりどこかに一本筋が通っている。
その決してぶれることのない軸、それは石川智晶の存在そのものとでもいえば
よいのか。上記シングル2曲で披露された母のように包み込む圧倒的な歌唱。
時にスパイスの如く力強く、時に至上の慈愛で――痛みとそれを和らげる
極上の優しさ。そのあたかも大自然のようなギャップに一時抱かれていると、
人としての本来のシンプルな深みに静かに浸されていくような錯覚に陥る。

特に「Blue Velbet」は彼女の年齢だからこそ歌える人生の真実に気付かされる。
"生きているうちに何かを残そうとしなくてもよい"...独特の透明感と温もりに、
ネガティブな虚勢が溶かされていく。だからこそタイトル曲の「誰も〜」の説得力が
増す。ただ、あるがままでいい。けれどそれに気付けなかった時期（ころ）の痛々しさ。
そしてラストは畳み掛けるように、声優・吉野裕行に提供した楽曲カヴァー「太陽」
極上のノスタルジックなメロディが秀逸な「1/2（はんぶん）」。あたかも太陽と月
のような布陣に激情と親和、それぞれ緩急つけた石川智晶楽曲の面白みを感じた。
（ちなみに上記「太陽」c/wも秀逸だっただけに、こちらもぜひカヴァーして欲しい）

シングルFirst Painのカップリングだった「誰も教えてくれなかったこと」を収録し、そのままアルバムのタイトルにしたようだ。思い入れがあるのだろう。

機動戦士ガンダム００のEDだったPrototypeがアレンジを変えて収録されている。ニュータイプでもイノベーターでも無く、プロトタイプという言葉が良いと監督さんと随分とやり合ったようだが、シングルはもちろん、このアレンジも良い。最初１分ぐらい抑えたピアノ前奏が入る。

また、アレルヤ、というよりハレルヤの方か？のキャラソン「太陽」を作詞・作曲した本人が歌うバージョンが入っているのも嬉しい限り。

戦国BASARAの「落涙」や、過酷な運命を歌う「Blue Velvet」、少女の成長の苦しみを描く切なげな「シルフィード」も良い。

逮捕しちゃうぞフルスロットルのエンディングがこんなにしっとりとしたものであったことと、
歌い手が石川智晶さんとは知らなかった。得した気分。

人間の成長や人生のあり方を問う歌が満載。じっくりと聴くほどに、満足だ。
