スクウェア・エニックスが新世代ハードで放つ完全オリジナルRPG。ミトラ、ヤーマ、クシティ、ソバニの4種族が存在する異世界を舞台に、遥か古代より存在する"レムナント"と呼ばれる謎の物体をめぐって壮大な物語が動き出す! プレイヤーはミトラの青年・ラッシュとなり、謎の組織に誘拐された妹イリーナを救うべく苦難の旅に出る。本作の特徴は、軍勢対軍勢による激しい集団戦で、戦闘はフィールド上に表示されているモンスターのシンボルと接触することで始まるようになっている。バトルは、「叩きのめせ」、「警戒しながら攻撃しろ」などのバトルコマンドで小隊ごとに指示を出すことで展開。バトルには"モラル"という概念があり、モラルゲージが上がると攻撃力上昇など自軍に有利な効果が得られる。

スクエニの新ブランドＲＰＧと期待していたのですが、中途半端な作品です。
ストーリー性はほぼ無いと考えていいかもしれません。

最近のＲＰＧに多い、横道にそれて遊ぶタイプのゲームです。
素材集めや、仲間強化で楽しむのですが、洗練されていません。
もっとチクチクするために、明確に目標を立てれるようなインターフェイスにしたり、達成感を味わう表現が欲しいです。

戦闘シーンの処理落ちはかなり痛いです。
DISK1を終えたところで放置してしまいました。

それでも購入するなら、改善されたWindows版の方がいいと思います。
（あれ？、ＰＳ３版は…？）

発売する前に誰かテコ入れしてあげろよ！とツッコミたくなる残念なゲームです。
改良しても面白くはならないと思うけど。。。

同じ大金をかけて作るのだったら、普通のＲＰＧ作ってあげれば良かったのに。
悪い意味で「もったいない」作品でした。。。
