7thアルバムは計12曲収録でシングル曲以外では8曲の新曲。この新曲のみでも聴き応えありました。
以下、シングル曲は割愛しつつの私の感想です。

オープニング曲「Hello Sadness」はSF的な音で始まります。（本来の曲自体に前効果を足してる？）
詞は奥深いですが曲の音色は好みが分かれそうですね。

「花は咲いて ただ揺れて」はAlbum ver.ですがシングルとの印象が大きく異なるとは感じませんでした。
「Elysium」や「Rainy Soul」はガーネットクロウ初期の曲調の感じもしますが音色は、やはり昔と比べると多いでしょうか。

「ON THE WAY」は個人的に好きな曲です。せつなげな曲調でありながら前向きな感じの歌詞や曲の切り替わりも良いですね。

アルバムタイトル曲の「Stay」は洋楽ティストな印象があり、由利さんの歌い回しも歌詞にもありますがソウルを感じます。
「日々のほとり」は、ゆったりとした曲。「Fall in Life 〜Hallelujah〜」はテンポ感があるノリの良い曲ですね。

そしてラスト曲「恋のあいまに」こそ、初期の曲調が好みの方が気に入る曲と思いますが…？

最後に音以外で気のついた点では各初回盤がCDケースで通常盤がデジパックな仕様でした。
あとCDには来年のライブ予定告知と抽選招待の案内もあり、これからのライブ活動も楽しみです。

前作「LOCKS」はファンの評価が分かれた作品だったため、
今作にも非常に不安が少なからずありました。
それでもシングル曲「百年の孤独」「花は咲いて、ただ揺れて」や
カップリングだった「Nora」「Clockwork」「愛に似てる」などの出来の良さもあり、
期待も持っていたと言えますが…
不安を掻き消す大傑作！とまではいかずとも、前作以上の良作に仕上がったと思います。

まず、今作で特徴的なのは"ダークさの復活"でしょう。
アルバムのはじめを飾るM1「Hello Sadness」は本当に秀逸ですね。
「Only Stay」を彷彿とさせる、次々と力強い展開が繰り出されながらも
しんみりとした悲しさ・切なさもある見事な一曲です。

深遠な暗さを持ったシングル曲M2「百年の孤独」
(ラストのドラムのリズムが変わるところがツボだったりする。)
美しさ・それ故の儚さを訴えかけるM3「花は咲いて、ただ揺れて」
孤高性を感じるこれまたガネらしいロックバラードM4「Elysium」と、ここまでの流れがとても良い！

M7「STAY」は洋楽風のメロディーに、かなり熟されたゆりっぺのヴォーカルが冴え渡る
ソウルフルな一曲になっていて、なかなか新鮮でした。
アコーディオンが面白いまったりとしたM8「日々のほとり」、
ガーネットらしいミドルチューンのM9「夢のひとつ」もよし。
ラストは再びダークなM11「Rainy Soul」としんみりとした優しい余韻を残すM12「恋のあいまに」で締める。

アルバム序盤と終盤はいいのですが、中盤がほかと比べると弱いか…(M5・M10など)といったところ。
それから3タイプの発売も本当にどうにかしてほしいですね。
(今回は通常版のみデジパックなのも疑問…)
